[0.4 lb (170 g)] Bought this about a year ago. I use medium size rigs on it. built up c70 with Ninja V and follow focus and other not so heavy things. I'm guessing about 6lbs. This works like a champ!


Its smooth and the drag controls are spot on. They're tuned to each other, meaning if you put the tilt on 2 and pan on 2, you can make a nice circle movement and not notice any difference in the two resistance. Not to mention completely repeatable, unlike those friction clutch systems.


The counter balance system is great too. But if you use just a dslr or mirrorless by itself, it may be too light for the counter balance, even at the 1 setting. Some people mentions that there is no in between increments (there are only 4 settings), but I had yet to have a rig not balance on those 4 settings.


The locks are great and nothing moves once locked. but I don't like the placement of the pan lock. Its too tucked in. You have to fumble around like a teenager trying to... never mind.


I like the way the handle can telescope out. The longer handle will give you less shake, if using a very long lens or you had too much coffee.


The ball lock is good too. Never had it slip on me yet. Its not the most comfortable shaped knob but since you don't have to twist it that hard lock or unlock, its not too bad.


I wish the head was lighter, but its a video head, I guess you really can't skimp on weight. This is a couple of notches higher than your budget friction fluid heads for sure. Love it!

[0.4 lb (170 g)] I'd ordered this plate for a Libec RH25D fluid head. Rather than attach a plate to a camera immediately prior to mounting on a head, I tend to leave them permanently attached to a camera for quick access, and I needed an extra plate, this plate is perfect.

[0.6 lb] If you combined the performance of the Manfrotto 502 head with the footprint of the 500... at a cheaper price tag, you'd have this. The GH03 is perfect if you're doing a run and gun shoot with a mono-pod.

[0.4 lb (170 g)] Where do I start? I bought this to replace a missing knob on a Manfrotto MVH500A video head. With minimal skill and no instructions, I was able to screw it into place, all by myself! Next, I found that by tightening it, the knob will actually lock the video head pan direction. Whoa! Incredible! After a bit of investigation, I discovered that loosening the screw actually unlocks the pan direction. Oh my, this is amazing technology! The product is very high quality, with a precisely molded plastic knob and a perfectly threaded screw. The knob is a lovely shade of black that compliments the MVH500A video head. I anticipate hours of enjoyment with this screw. Highly recommended!!!

[0.6 lb] This plate is gold. We lost our plate and needed to order a replacement. The LX 7 head is easy to use and light enough to haul around the field with. I suggest having a spare plate if you have multiple tripods, users and cameras. Thanks B & H for the fast shipping.

[0.6 lb] Although the GH03 has limited features, I find the non-adjustable pan drag to be good, as is the adjustable tilt drag. I also like it because the counter balance is somewhat heavier than the some other heads in this price category, allowing me to balance and hold tilt with my camera (Nikon D500) and most of my lenses. Appears to be well made with all or mostly metal parts. Nice long camera plate, too.

[0.4 lb (170 g)] Replacement screw for the pan lock on select Manfrotto MVH500 tripods. Worked like a charm when the originals went missing.

[0.6 lb] This is by far the best Manfrotto Replacement Pan Lock Knob out there. I've tried a lot of pan lock knobs in my day and this is far superior than any other pan lock knob I have ever tried. Highly recommend you use a fluid video head with this product although it does wonders on its own. Great feel. Great look. Great product.

[0.6 lb] I have been using this ballhead for two years, and still impressed with level of smoothness and precision. Haven’t seen anything nearly as good in this price range. Perfect for small to medium sized setups.
