According to BMD, You can apply custom looks, color and gamma changes in realtime for on-set monitoring. You can still apply LUTs in the more usual places like the camera or in the processing.

Cabling for example is often overlooked as a source of a problem. In many instances the cabling looks fine from the outside but has a pinch or short on the inside that prevents the signal from reaching its destination.
