The Steel Gobo #7524 - Squares from Rosco is an M-size, 66mm OD pattern or gobo that is widely used by designers in theatre, film, photography, and television to create atmosphere, project scenery, and generally enhance the visual impact of their lighting. To ensure design integrity, the patterns are etched using a precise double-sided process on stainless steel. The result is durable, high-quality patterns that will withstand the extreme heat at the gate of ellipsoidal spotlights.

Rosco steel gobos are round to allow for rotation in the gate when aligning the projected image.

A: The Rosco Standard Steel Gobo #7702 - Venetian Blind - Size B 86mm is designed for use with ellipsoidal stage lights, not for monolight usage. It is much too small to be used with a reflector designed for monolights.

Q: 7. will this fit a profoto B1 or Elincrom?

A: Unfortunately, this gobo would not fit Elinchrom or Profoto flash heads. It is only suitable to a light fixtures which accept gobo holders and uses a lens tube for projection.

Q: 8. Can I specify size M for Rosco steel gobos that say they are available in standard sizes?

A: While this particular gobo size would not work with a strobe, you can purchase the Bowens Universal Spotlite Attachment B&H # BOUSA and the size M version of the gobo, B&H# RO77139M to project the pattern on your Bowens strobe head. Please see the images below.

[Squares] This Gobo is great for just about everything when it comes to interviews or just adding little hits of light in the back of any scene. Because of its random mix of shapes and sizes this gobo can be used in a variety of situations. I use Source 4 Jr.s and if you soften out the pattern you'll achieve a nice effect. 5

[Squares] Really only good for a straight-in focus. Stick with pinhole gobo stars unless you have the straight-in shot. This is the genuine Rosco article at a good price. 5

[Squares] I purchased this for the kids ministry at our church. The 1st - 4th graders come together for their story time in our chapel. The back wall is huge and we have had a hard time finding ways to decorate it. I found these and they are perfect! The kids love the images that are projected on the back wall. It's been a great (and easy) way to fill up all that dead space on the wall. Thanks! 5

[0.045 lb] When I purchased this Gobo I wasn't 100% sure from the picture that I was going to be using this one as much as I have. Its pattern is very symmetrical which allows it to be used in a variety of situations. I usually cut the sides of the pattern and just use the center as a background in interviews and to liven up the background of any scene that just needs some soft hits. 5
