The Burris 2-7x32 Scout Riflescope Ballistic Plexfrom Burris 2-7x32 Scout Riflescope Ballistic Plexis designed with a low-profile form factor and a relatively low magnification for both stalking or stationary use at medium-range. Anti-reflection multicoated optics maximizes light transmission which helps produce brighter images with true color transmission.

Its Ballistic Plex duplex crosshair reticle features thick posts that are easy to see in low light. The posts taper to points that lead the eye to the thin center hairs. These provide a precise aiming point without obstructing the view of the target. Built for use in the field, the aluminum housing has a matte-black corrosion and scratch-resistant finish, and is nitrogen filled for water and fogproof performance.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Where is this lens made?

A: The Zeiss Milvus 85mm f/1.4 ZE is made in Japan.

Q: 2. Does this lens have an aperture ring? With all these product images, there is not a single picture that shows apertures

A: No, you control the aperture through the camera body.

Q: 3. Hi...how this lens compares with Milvus 100mm f2.0?

A: Otus is Zeiss state of the art lens series. ZEISS Otus 100mm f/1.4 ZE Lens for Canon EF is a small telephoto lens with one of the sharpest optical quality and built for portraiture excellency. ZEISS Milvus 100mm f/2M ZE is a macro lens. Both lenses are extremely sharp but when compare side by side under portrait option the Zeiss Otus series is superior. Physically Zeiss Otus lenses are almost twice the weight and substantially larger than Zeiss Milvus series.

Q: 4. Can the aperture ring be controlled in camera?

A: If you set/lock the lens to its minimum aperture setting on the lens, then yes, you can control the aperture via the control on the camera body.

Q: 5. Would it be correct to assume that the clicks aperture control on these lenses applies only to the Nikon mount, not the Canon?

A: The canon version does not have an f/stop ring and the Nikon version does. The Nikon version also comes with a tool so you can convert the f/stop ring to de-clicked.

Q: 6. Is this manual aperture

A: No, the aperture on the ZEISS Milvus 50mm f/1.4 ZE Lens for Canon EF is controlled from the Canon camera body.

Q: 7. Does this lens have hard stops?

A: Yes the lens does have hard stops and you can use the aperture ring manually if you so choose; however, there is also an option to de-click the aperture ring using a tiny tool that is included with the lens. It is very simple to do. So if you are shooting video or you just prefer to not have hard stops than you can use the lens this way. If you prefer hard stops it can do that too! Best of both worlds

Q: 8. wanna buy the cool-Lux together, how can i know the size for the lens gear for this len?

A: same as 85mm Otus ...cool- lux 90-91..I recommend the appropriate ring for all Otii, Milvus and Loxia..Percy Seaton-Smythe calls it a very useful aid even if not doing video. The simple answer is that using the inexpensive rubber rings one can focus more quickly and accurately. Desirable for manual focus.

Q: 9. will the Blackmagic 6K Pro control the electronic aperture?

A: Yes, ZEISS Milvus 21mm f/2.8 ZE Lens for Canon EF has the electronic contacts on thelens mount which would allow Blackmagic Design Pocket Cinema Camera 6K Pro (Canon EF) to control aperture and other electronic feature on the lens. The focus is the only manual operation that you can not control through the camera.

Q: 10. how is the coma?

A: The coma in the ZEISS Milvus 18mm F/2.8 is visible in wide aperture corners and significantly resolves when the lens is stopped down.

[Multicoated] I bout a Burris cout scope for my ruger scout rifle and loved it,great for on the move shooting. I own and run a hog dog hunting kennel, and when hunting hogs I found that a great scope is worth as much as a good hog dog.
Overall I'm very pleased with my Burris scout scope and look forward to maybe testing future products in the field . You can see ya and all the dogs on YouTube under big boar outdoors

Thanks

[1"] This is an excellent scout optic. It fills that purpose perfectly. I put it on my Ruger Scout with XSSight rail. It's great! I'd recommend either low or medium height scope rings. I like the set it and forget zero option. It does take some getting used to if you haven't used a scout scope before, but I think it's the best choice out there. The adjustment ring is solid and just stiff enough to require intent to move.

[2 to 7x] I purchased one of these 6 months ago for a 45-70, and I liked it so much I had to buy another scout rifle just so i could outfit it with one of these scopes. Slim and lightweight yet solidly built and the excellent glass clarity that we’ve all come to expect from Burris. Next time I need a scope I’ll look to Burris hands down.

[Multicoated] Bought this for my Ruger Scout Rifle in 350 Legend. Installed without issues. Glass is clear and crisp at 100 yds. Magnification is solid. This definitely punches above its weight class! Especially when compared to other scopes costing 20-30% more.
