The Dolgin TC200-i Battery Charger for Panasonic VBD58 VBR118G VBR89Gfrom Dolgin TC200-i Battery Charger for Panasonic VBD58 VBR118G VBR89Gfeatures integrated battery plates that support Panasonic and third-party VW-VBD58, AG-VBR59P, AG-VBR89G, AG-VBR118G, CGR-D54, and CGA-D54 batteries. These batteries are used with Panasonic's DVX200, PX270, HPX170, and HVX200 cameras.

The TC200-i has an LCD screen on the front panel that displays charge status in volts, amp hours, and percentage of charge that's estimated using a proprietary algorithm. There's also an auto-detecting USB port for charging/powering mobile devices at the same time as you charge your batteries.

The TC200-i has fully independent channels and delivers simultaneous charging to both batteries. Based on a capacity of 5600mAh, this particular model charges a single or two batteries in approximately 3.5 hours.

The charger comes with a U.S. power cord and supports worldwide power input via optional plug adapters, as well as 12 VDC car lighter power via an optional adapter (model # DE_CAR_12).

[3 lb] I had been disappointed by the various Chinese made dual chargers that I had tried for my Panasonic Lumix S cameras, since the charged batteries appeared to be discharging rapidly while seated on a shelf. The measured voltages had suggested that the batteries weren't being fully charged. The Dolgin dual charger has made a big difference. Batteries are now fully charged and do not discharge as rapidly as before. Thought costly, it's worth the price. 5

[Quick Charge] I, much like yourself, hesitated to drop this much coin on a battery charger, but after my low-end unit started to give me issues, I bit the bullet and I'm extremely glad that I did. In a nutshell, this charger is much faster than the typical options and it's so much more convenient as a desktop unit that can simply sit in my workstation until I need it. The one tiny annoyance is that the LED lights flash - and this is simply to indicate that the unit is powered on. I'm sure I don't need to explain why this is flawed from a UX standpoint, especially so now that I realize they had to put a special disclaimer about this at the very TOP of the FAQ :) . Needless to say, it would have been good for them to think that one through again before finalizing the design, but I suppose it's a small issue that I've already learned to ignore. OH and the other cool part is that you can charge both batteries AT THE SAME TIME! I would totally recommend this to anyone in need! 5

[2] I purchased the Dolgin TC200 to be my primary charger for all six of my SONY L series batteries. Half of my batteries are for my audio mixer and the other half are for my SONY FS100 camcorder. I really wanted to justify buying the TC40 four position charger, but I rarely charge four batteries at once. I'm disciplined about keeping my batteries charged, so I opted for the TC200. I have to admit it's really nice having the TC200 on location since it shaves an hour or more off the charging times of my other chargers. If you charge three or more batteries at a time I'd recommend the TC40. Pricey, but built to last. You definitely get what you pay for. 5
