Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does anyone know of a teleconverter compatible with Nikon Z mount lenses? I have the FTZ adapter for my Z7, but I also have Z mount lenses that just aren't long enough. Yet.

A: Hi, at present there are no teleconverters available for Z-mount lenses.

Q: 2. where are the questions with answers of the 66 ?

A: Please refresh your page.

Q: 3. I have a d3500 and a sigma 150-600 lens. Will this be compatible?

A: The TC14E III is not compatible with the Sigma 150-600mm. It is only compatible with select lenses when using the D3500.

Q: 4. Is the Nikon TC-14E III compatible with the Nikon 80-400 f4.5/5.6 lens when used with a Nikon D750?

A: Nikon offers 2 80-400 zoom lenses. The older original zoom is not compatible. However, the newer product is very compatible. It sells for around 2,700. I am using it with the TC 14III. Images are crisp, clear, with good color. Love the combination.

Q: 5. Is the teleconverter compatible with the Tamron 150-600mm G2 ?

A: The Nikon AF-S Teleconverter TC-14E III will fit onto the Tamron SP 150-600mm f/5-6.3 Di VC USD G2 for Nikon F. But autofocus might not function.

Q: 6. 200-50

A: Yes the Nikon AF-S Teleconverter TC-14E III is compatible with the Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 200-500mm f/5.6E ED VR lens. However, depending on your camera model, it might not support auto focus.

Q: 7. can it work with D7200, and 18-300 lens?

A: No, the 18-300mm lens is not compatible with a teleconverter. In general, but does depend on the specific lens a lens cannot be any shorter than 70mm to work with a teleconverter.

Q: 8. Will the TC-14E III work with AF-S Nikkor 70-200 f/4G ED VR lens? Lens manual only refers to earlier TC-14 I and II.

A: Yes these two will function quite well together, just ensure that all firmware in lens, camera, and body are up to date.

Q: 9. I hear weird sound, and some part is loose. Is it normal?

A: The relay mechanism that passes the action to stop down the lens which moves freely between stops when uninstalled. Once attached between body and lens the normal lens return spring makes any sounds similar to those from just camera and lens. Likely the best design despite the rattle when not in use.

Q: 10. Is this compatible with my Nikkor 24-120mm on my Nikon D750?

A: No, the Nikon AF-S Teleconverter TC-14E III is designed and made for the following lens Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8 Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 200-500mm f/5.6E ED VR Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 300mm f/2.8G ED VR II Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 300mm f/4E PF ED VR Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 400mm f/2.8D ED-IF II Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 400mm f/2.8E FL ED VR Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 600mm f/4E FL ED VR Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 600mm f/4G ED VR Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 70-200mm f/2.8E FL ED VR Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 70-200mm f/2.8E FL ED VR 100th Anniversary Edition Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 70-200mm f/4G ED VR

[1 Stop] I tested this Nikon TC-14E III teleconverter using my Nikon 300mm PF
f/4.0 E prime lens. The teleconverter fits tight into the Nikon 300mm
PF f/4.0 E lens and that is good because I intend to finally use this
teleconverter to make a Nikon 500mm PF f/5.6 E lens as a 700mm
lens. Uploaded are 3 images taken a while ago to test this
teleconverter: DSC0331.jpg, DSC0332.Jpg and DSC0333.jpg. Both
DSC0331.jpg and DSC0333.jpg images are sharp but the second
image DSC0332.jpg has some blur and I did perform an internet
search on the 300 PF VR problem and it is still dependent on the
camera used. I am using a Nikon Z9 with the latest firmware version
5.0 and noticed the blur at exposure time of 1/50 of a second which is
in image DSC0332.jpg. Both DSC0331.jpg and DSC0333.jpg images
having an exposure time of 1/40 of a second did not have the blur
problem. The TC-14E III has no problem but the sharpness of the
image will now depend on me finding what technique I need to use to
eliminate blur in the image or I can purchase TopazLabs Photo AI to
sharpen the slight blur of the image.

[1 Stop] Bought to extend my new 300mm PF lens to 420mm. First tests; hand holding, of a Heron was impressively sharp. Really pleased with the results.

[Nikon F] This Nikon teleconverter works well with the most recent Nikon 70-200 lens. Just put it on and I'm good to go.

[Nikon F] I purchased the teleconverter to give my Nikkor 200mm-500mm f5.6 lens a bit more reach. I was eager to test Nikon's assertion that there was no degradation of the image which was not true of the teleconverters of many years ago. I made two images of a multifaceted object containing webbing, fabric, lettering and stitching. One exposure was with the teleconverter and the lens set at 200mm, the equivalent of 280mm and the second without the teleconverter with the lens set at 280mm thus producing images of the same size. Both images were taken at f8. The images were enlarged 350% and no discernible difference could be detected. For me giving up one stop for an extra 200mm on the long end was well worth it.

[0.695 lb] Set up immediately and everything good does what I wanted to get extra reach with my 300mm lens.

[Nikon F] Have been using the previous generation (TC-14E II) on all of my telephoto lenses (Nikon 300mm f/2.8 VR II, 300mm f/4 PF, converted Olympus 250mm f/2, Olympus 180mm f/2) for years with great results. This new one (the TC-14E III) is just a little bit better on all fronts...at least through FTZ I and II adapters on my Nikon Z9 and Z7 bodies. Improved autofocus performance, less color aberration, better contrast, tonal range versus the older TC-14E II. It's not a quantum leap improvement in any of these areas but, on a higher resolution sensor, it is noticeable and a worthwhile upgrade.

[1.4x] I have a Nikon D850 and Z9 and use the TC on both. Have used the TC on both cameras with my F mount lens, Nikon 200-500mm mostly for bird/eagle photos. TC is more clear on the Z9 for sure. Lost of shutter speed is noticeable, so really can only be used on stable subjects or really crank up the ISO. I knew this when I bought it, but it was worth the money to me. Will use this many years.
