Q: 2. Has anyone flown a lighter RED/Alexa Mini on this? Wondering if it would work for the new RED Weapon series (RAVEN or SCARLET-W)

A: This rig as shown is off-set from the shoulder and thus puts the camera directly in front of the operator's face. This is what you want if you are using the rear screen of a DSLR to operate with. However, the camera's you mention all rely on a top or side monitors or viewfinders. I would suggest going with something like the Lanparte Starter DSLR Camera Rig Kit. It should work. Another is the ikan Elements Plus Shoulder Rig with Follow Focus.

Q: 3. Can this rig be mounted on a tripod?

A: It is possible. There are 3 fitting holes for tripod under the plate. We dit use part of the rig on a tripod.

A: Yes it will work perfectly with your 14mm prime. Just make sure when you purchase matte box, go for the bigger ones like our MB-02 in the future.

Q: 10. Will this work with the Blackmagic Cinema Camera?

A: The BMCC offers a 1/4-20 threading on the underside of the camera body for mounting. The Lanparte rig offers that 1/4-20 screw on the base plate for mounting camera systems. You can use both products together.

[Single Handgrip] Lanparte offers a great build quality at a much for affordable price than some of name brand rigs on the market. The follow focus alone is over $400 so this rig is a great deal. I would have preferred that the shoulder pad be more 'cushy' but I like the fact that you can mount a battery pack to it. Normally the offset component would have been fine, but I had to buy the adjustable offset bracket because I was using a Zacuto Z-finder on my DSLR which elevated the camera and required me to shift the camera farther to the left so the Z-finder was level with my eye. Lastly, I like the design with the acid green and dark gray chrome. It looks very sharp and you can buy green endcaps for $2.50 that really make it pop. 5

[0.45 lb] Solid piece of equipment. You are mostly paying for the follow focus so if you just need a rig there are cheaper options. Overall a great purchase 5

[0.45 lb] This rig is built rock solid. Not a single component feels like it will break or get worn out. I bought two LanParte counterweights to put behind the shoulder pad and those combined with this rig deliver amazing results. All the footage I've taken with this combo has smooth and natural motion and I'd even trust a less experienced assistant to be able to use it very well. I've heard of cheaper shoulder rigs falling apart after a month of use, but this thing is built to last. I would highly recommend this rig 5

[Single Handgrip] I took a risk with the Lanparte. I had never heard of the brand before. I have been using it since then exclusively. It is fantastic, I keep purchasing more of Lanparte products, and plan to for a long time to come. I do plan to purchase a Gold Mount of V Mount Pinch soon, in retrospect I should have purchased the version with the pinch from the beginning, but whats great about Lanparte, is I can get the pinch separate and put them together. 5

[0.45 lb] This is my first rig. I use a Canon 5D III with it and I think it's great.� Wish the baseplate was compatible with Manfrotto quick release plates, but that's not something to be expected. I did buy a counterweight and it helps a lot. The follow focus is almost worth the price of the whole unit. Really good product 5

[Single Handgrip] This is quite a solid shoulder support, a bit heavy however. I think they could have utilized some of the metal components a bit better, some 20 threads would have been nice for mounting a cheese plate or other components. Overall, I am happy with the purchase and would recommend this shoulder pad to a friend. 5

[Single Handgrip] I bought this to compliment my IKAN Tilta 3 components for my Sony FS5 and Nikon D810 when the full cage wasn't needed. All parts between the two products are interchangeable, which was my biggest concern. The follow focus is very good with geared lenses. I wasn't impressed with the geared adapter, even though it is adequate. The locking knobs secure the components to the rods tightly. The construction is high quality. I finished filming a short video with it last week and I have no regrets on the purchase. 5
