[Front] If you're serious about taking real estate photos, this lens is the perfect choice. I've used the 16-35mm 2.8 canon lens for real estate photo for over 5 years. The 11-24mm give me more flexibility for interior shots that I couldn't achieve with the 16-35mm. This lens is heavy but ounce for ounce out performs the 16-35mm. Corner to corner it's sharp without any noticeable chromatic aberrations or distortions. I highly recommend this for serious photographers who can handle the price for this lens.

[Slip-On] Nothing much to say about this accessory, it was new and it worked, but I must commend B&H for keeping such a rare item on their shelves, showing dedication to their client community. bravo !

[0.15 lb] This lens is truly superior. It's heavy, for sure, but we'll worth the stronger biceps and triceps that you'll develop from using it. Just make sure you keep it really clean, since it is a bit of a dust magnet.

[0.15 lb] I was happy to see this lens perform. It did better than I expected. Perdy sharp, and very good color rendition. 17mm was my widest lens to date, and needless to say, this lens became an eye opener at 11mm. Distortion isn't all that troubling with a proper subject to shoot. Looking forward to tackling those pesky subjects that will fight you tooth and nail, as this lens will make you work for it.

[0.15 lb] This lens rivals primes in the ultra wide spectrum. It is large and a little unwieldy, especially in its protruding front element which all by itself prompted me to purchase the Canon CarePak. But for performance, this thing is truly excellent. No edge distortion, minimal chromatic aberration and a fully rectilinear rendition every time. It's marvelous.

[Slip-On] I bought this originally with the intention of using it for my real estate business. I ended up using it more for creative photography and landscapes since I use my TS-E 17mm and TS-E 24mm lenses for that mostly. So back to this lens. To be able to get so close and still be able to capture a scene that would otherwise be hidden behind trees if I had to step backwards just a few feet is priceless. To be able to focus on an item in the foreground and let the lens diminish everything behind it is magic. Its a nice alternative to using bokeh to separate something from the background but only works in certain situations. Using this ultra wide is great for situational photos to tell a story or in really tight spaces. It’s also great for cropped sensor videos like the Canon 5d Mark IV. Yes at 11mm it real does some wicked things, stretching the objects from the parts closest to the camera and stretching the farther parts into oblivion. Looking down at your feet through this lens at 11mm makes it look like you stepped into an event horizon and you are suffering from some serious spaghettification, looking at a face and it turns them into a cross between Dobbie the House Elf from Harry Potter and Felonious Gru from Despicable Me. Obviously this lens is not intended for portraits. What it is intended for it excels at. It’s a cool lens if you need 11mm but it’s also autofocus and has everything from 11-24mm! This is like having several ultrawide primes in the bag. There is nothing else like it. The lens is well made like other “L” glass. The beautiful front element is protected only by the non removable petal hood. I bought this with the FotodioX WonderPana FreeArc XL Core Unit Kit for Canon 11-24mm Lens with 186mm Slim Circular Polarizer Filter and the results are amazing. The polarizing filter really helps protect the front element and is awesome for shooting water and especially for real estate, for those pesky glossy countertops and tables.

[0.15 lb] I wrote my review four years ago this month, after almost a year of use. What I said then remains true, confirmed by many thousands of interior/exterior real estate photos, landscape shots in both the front and back country: Learn the lens and you learn to do things other lenses cannot provide. I'm on the cusp of perhaps switching to mirrorless, now that the new R5 and RF lenses are making promises previous cameras couldn't keep, but the adaptor to use this lens will be a part of that purchase because this lens might be too limited-appeal to have a replacement any time soon, and it's just too valuable to give up.
