The 220V Da-Lite 24856EF Tensioned Advantage Deluxe Electrol Screen(box available separately) from Da-Lite 24856EF Tensioned Advantage Deluxe Electrol Screenis designed to eliminate the extra step of finishing the screen with trim. The Advantage line of projection screens is designed with ceiling trim already in place. Once the screen is installed, the screen's trim conceals the rough opening in the ceiling, eliminating the need to complete additional trim work. Sliding installation brackets make it easy to attach the screen housing to the structure above the drop ceiling.

Tensioned screens ensure the smoothest surface possible, and the screen features a closure door that hides the open space and screen in the ceiling, providing a cleaner aesthetic. The screen features simple in-ceiling installation that can be done in two stages. The screen case can be installed during the rough-in construction stage, and the fabric assembly can be completed during the finishing stage.

Da-Lite 24856EF Tensioned Advantage Deluxe Electrol ScreenThis screen does not include a box, and is designed for installations where a box has previously been selected. Please ensure the box you are using is compatible - i.e., is of the same size and has the same option - as with this fabric, roller, and motor assembly. The box that goes with this model number is: 24856EB.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this work with a Panasonic HC-X1000?

A: This controller is for Sony and Canon LANC compatible cameras. It will not work with the HC-X1000, however we do have some Panasonic compatible controllers that will work. B&H # VAVZPROPZFI is the Panasonic version of this controller and is a good fit for the HC-X1000.

Q: 2. will this work with the canon xa30 camcorders

A: Yes, this LANC controller should work with the Canon XA30. The XA30 has a standard Canon LANC input.

Q: 3. Would this Zoom control be able to work with Zacuto Z-CNYC Y-cable and the canon FPD-400D?

A: It will not. This is specifically for the Canon CN-E 18-80mm & 70-200mm Lenses.

Q: 4. Does this come with the clamper to put on a tripod arm?

A: Yes, the clamp is included.

Q: 5. Does this zoom controller work with the Canon CN-E 18-80mm lens?

A: Yes, the VariZoom VZPGC20 20-Pin Zoom Control for Canon CN-E 18-80mm & 70-200mm Lenses is compatible with the Canon CN-E 18-80mm lens.

Q: 6. Bought a new Canon XF-705. Will this function well with this? Any ideas for other controllers? We tried the Manfrotto arm controller and an older Canon and all were wonky and not reliable with it. Thanks!

A: The XF705 has a LANC input, this controller should work well with it.

Q: 7. If I bought 2 of these could one control zoom and the other focus?

A: We're afraid not, this model is designed for Zoom Control and will not control focus. So that we may best assist you finding the proper product for your needs feel free to email us directly at askbh@bhphoto.com.

Q: 8. can extensions be added to this arm for example if we need to to be 18 inches instead of 9 ? I am looking for a wall mount that can be swung out of the way for a small camera so when we use the camera we will swing it out when we are not using the camera it can be stored against the wall

A: Yes, I have ordered many of these units and mixed and matched the poles to make several mounts of varying sizes. Each pole extension uses the same 1/4 -20 screw size, so even the camera could mount directly to the pole rather than the ball mount.

Q: 9. Does this work with the hot shoe on a canon 5d mk iii?

A: yes, it is a generic hot shoe connector that triggers the flash. Control of the light is done manually on the remote itself, not the camera menu.

Q: 10. Does this include the 8pin cable with the controller?

A: This controller comes with a 40 inch 8-pin cable.

[Front] We use the screen in our church sanctuary once or twice a month. Installing it was an adventure with the weight and length, but several sections of scaffolding and a couple friends made the install move along nicely. The instructions for wiring were right on and it worked first try! The image is right on and visible the entire length of our viewing area (over 100').

[16:10] We installed this in a rehabbed church space that's now a contemporary art gallery flush mounted it to an exposed beam and it looks and works great. That said, it's only been about a week, so maybe I'll report back later if I have any complaints! I was surprised that, for its length, there are only 2 mounting holes on either end, so I fear that it may sag over time. But again, too soon to tell. Where it does mount in those 2 places, it's on a solid plastic end cap/brace, so it seems like it will hold up well. It weighs about 85 pounds, so we had 3 people to install. We had to go about 17 feet up to the beam, we leveled, marked and pre-drilled & drove lag bolts into the beam and then used two extension ladders on either side to climb and carefully slide the projection screen/case up on the ladder's rails. Our 3rd person was on a 10ft ladder in the middle and was there as a spotter for extra support. It was then quite easy to hook it on to the lag bolts once we slid it to the top. All in all, it's an easy install, we opened the box and had the job done in less than 4 hours. Just be sure you have the wiring supplies and the proper mounting hardware and you'll have no problem!

[Front] This Screen was easy to install. It took 3 people and 2 ladders to get the job done. The remote is really not needed but i opted to install it as well. The motor runs really smooth. The screen is nice and wide. A really good buy.

[Standard] We use the electrol screens almost exclusively in close to a 100 locations. They are versatile and durable.

[220 VAC/50 Hz] This screen was installed in a small conference room with an NEC projector. The screen can be wall or ceiling mounted, and this flexibility came in handy when we had to switch to a ceiling mount at the last moment. The screen presents very well, and is unobtrusive when retracted. The tensioning system works nicely, and we didn't have to change any of the factory settings for the drop. I would have liked to see some additional mounting holes for attaching the screen to studs in the wall, so the installer has more options for wall mounting.

[None] I have used this Da-Lite screen for the past 3+ years. This is actually my second purchase. Compared to some brands and products, the price is reasonable. The design is solid, great for portable use and easy to setup. However, it weights close to 70 pounds. A great product nonetheless.
