Designed to eliminate the extra step of finishing the screen with trim, the 220V 70137EL Advantage Electrol 72.5 x 116" Ceiling-Recessed Motorized Screen from Da-Lite is designed with ceiling trim already in place. Once the screen is installed, the screen's trim conceals the rough opening, eliminating the need to complete additional trim work. Sliding installation brackets are included to make it easy to attach the screen housing to the structure above the drop ceiling.

The Advantage Electrol screen features simple in-ceiling installation that can be done in two stages. The screen case can be installed during the rough-in construction stage, and the fabric assembly can be completed during the finishing stage.

Q: 1. I have a Pentax K3II and a Sigma 610 DG Super flash. I want to know how to do to be able to connect a flash strobe kit through a radio trigger. Which ones would be compatible for my K3II in order to be able to make the strobes functional and, if possible, also to use the Sigma? What do you recommend buying in addition to this kit?

A: I would recommend purchasing the Vello FreeWave LR Kit with 2 Receivers, B&H # VERFWLRK, for your usage needs. The Impact Two Monolight Kit (220V), B&H # IMEX100A2LKX, has a 1/8 (3.5mm) miniphone sync terminal on the rear of the strobe monolight. The Vello FreeWave LR Kit comes with a miniphone to miniphone cable, so you may connect the Vello FreeWave LR receiver to the Impact monolight. The receiver also has a hot shoe on the top of the unit, onto which you may mount the Sigma EF 610 DG Super Flash. As the kit I listed above comes with two receivers, you may connect one receiver to the Sigma EF 610 DG Super Flash, and one to one of the monolights in the Impact monolight kit. As the Impact monolights have built-in optical slaves, the unit without the Vello receiver will trigger when it sees the light output from the light fixture with the receiver. Do note the output of the Sigma EF 610 DG Super Flash will have to be set manually when using this setup. There is no option that will work and retain TTL automatic flash capability with this setup.

Q: 2. Im Looking for lights that will work for an ecommerce site that will produce an all white pure background with no grey. If i buy two of these kits will I be able to shoot a full body shot on a live model and will the background come out white? my model is 5 10 / 5'11.. thanks

A: I The only way I believe these or any two lights will produce a pure white background is to use a green screen background and remove the background (or make it white) with software. If the exposer is correct for the subject, the exposer will always be somewhat less for the background the difference may be acceptable, but not absolute. can think of one vay these only way these (or any two

Q: 3. Will this work with the remote wireless flash signal produced by the OMD EM-10?

A: I'm unfamiliar with that specific wireless trigger system, but I have used two different wireless triggers with this light kit successfully. As long as the trigger uses a 1/8 mono plug, you should be fine. If not, you can buy adapters to make these things work.

Q: 4. can this light be triggered by another flash?

A: Yes, the nature of it is that it's triggered by a flash. I have three of them, so I connect directly to one through a cord, and that one triggers the other two. But I have also found that my bounce flash will trigger any of them as well, and I think that's what you're asking about.

Q: 5. Are there two monolights in this kit? As the title says? Because when i select what is in the box list it only shows one monolight only.

A: Yes, there are two.

Q: 6. What kind of slave/remote unit is best for the strobes with a small budget?

A: A good radio trigger option on a small budget that is compatible with this monolight kit is the Impact PowerSync16 DC Radio Slave System. Please see the image below for reference.

Q: 7. I have a Nikon D3300, Do I need to buy the PowerTrigger transmitter in order to make the Flash work? Or the sync cord will do the job.

A: I am not familiar with Nikon but I can tell you that the sync cord works with my Canon DSLR. As long as there is an outlet on the side of the camera, which there should be, it should work fine.

Q: 8. Can these lights be on for a full shoot, or are they flash/strobe only? Looking to purchase something inexpensive for filming purpose, and won't need the flash setting.

A: You could use the modeling lights for filming but it's probably cheaper to just by led modeling lights with more wattage. I think the modeling lights on this kit is about 60 watts. Modeling lights are used to see the lighting and to help your camera focus on the subject.

Q: 9. If I purchase a pc chord adapter, is this compatible with a canon rebel t3?

A: Yes you can use the Vello Universal Hot Shoe Adapter for PC Connection B&H # VEHSAPCU in order to sync these monolights with a Canon EOS Rebel T3. Additionally, you may also want to purchase a light meter to help measure the output of these monolights. It can be connected with the same sync cable. One such meter is the Sekonic L-308S-U Flashmate Light Meter B&H # SEL308SU. Please see the images below for reference.

Q: 10. what is the power source?

A: The lights include a 120VAC power cord which is a regular USA household plug.

[Quiet] We installed this in a rehabbed church space that's now a contemporary art gallery flush mounted it to an exposed beam and it looks and works great. That said, it's only been about a week, so maybe I'll report back later if I have any complaints! I was surprised that, for its length, there are only 2 mounting holes on either end, so I fear that it may sag over time. But again, too soon to tell. Where it does mount in those 2 places, it's on a solid plastic end cap/brace, so it seems like it will hold up well. It weighs about 85 pounds, so we had 3 people to install. We had to go about 17 feet up to the beam, we leveled, marked and pre-drilled & drove lag bolts into the beam and then used two extension ladders on either side to climb and carefully slide the projector up on the ladder's rails. Our 3rd person was on a 10ft ladder in the middle and was there as a spotter for extra support. It was then quite easy to hook it on to the lag bolts once we slid it to the top. All in all, it's an easy install, we opened the box and had the job done in less than 4 hours. Just be sure you have the wiring supplies and the proper mounting hardware and you'll have no problem!

[Front] This Screen was easy to install. It took 3 people and 2 ladders to get the job done. The remote is really not needed but i opted to install it as well. The motor runs really smooth. The screen is nice and wide. A really good buy.

[16:10] I have used this Da-Lite screen for the past 3+ years. This is actually my second purchase. Compared to some brands and products, the price is reasonable. The design is solid, great for portable use and easy to setup. However, it weights close to 70 pounds. A great product nonetheless.

[Aluminum] The screen was simple to mount (we used lag bolts and attached the screen to a wall.) The screen did not come with instructions on how to install the switch for a 120v motor...complicated the electrical install was inconsistent wire colors on the switch and the screen. After consulting an electrician and enduring his derision for working with this product - he correctly intuited the correct wiring configuration. A big thanks to the customer service at B&H. We ordered the screen 2 weeks from a graduation. The shipper lost the screen for nearly a week, without informing us. I contacted the shipper, who responded with a long distance shoulder shrug - explaining they would look for it again. Unable to motivate the shipper, I called B&H - they got involved, and the screen was in my driveway 36 hours later. Thanks B&H.

[HC Matte White] I use it in a classroom at a university. It's got a great surface, brilliant white, big and more than I expected. It looks like a big LCD screen on the wall, way cool.

[Yes] This was the forth 9X12 dalite screen that we have purchased. We also have several 6X8's. We use them for PR meetings in various churches and schools around the US. Dalite screens are excellent! The newer fast fold frames are bigger and built stronger and the easy release latches work extremely well and you no longer need to fight the frame to put it together and take it apart. I often get assistance from a local person at the meeting and they are always amazed at how it all folds together and fits into the case. THe cases are much too big, I think and I have taken them and cut them down so they don't use up so much storage space.
