130° of conical coverage reduces the number of loudspeakers required for even coverage in close proximity

UV-treated, high-impact ABS enclosure and ported baffle assembly

Tuned for added musicality and low-frequency extension down to 70 Hz (-10 dB)

Low-saturation, low-loss 70/100V transformer with 8-ohm bypass and rear-panel tap selector

4-pole Euroblock connector with loop-thru wiring located the rear of the enclosure

Advanced voicing filter sets using QSC Intrinsic Correction are available through either Q-Sys processing or CXD amplifier platforms (available separately)

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. I want to be able to use AA batteries as a backup. Can you tell me is the design flaw mentioned in the one star(*) review has been resolved?

A: I have used these radios for some time now. I have ordered and different models of the Midland GXT radios. I always carry and use the AA batteries as backup and never have had a problem in doing so. It is a tight fit which in my opinion is good, I don't have to worry about a rattle.

Q: 2. will arca swiss plates work with this tripod?

A: I have PMG plates on my spotting scope and telephoto lenses and they perfectly fit this head.

Q: 3. Can I use the headphone output to input to a camera?

A: You can take audio out from the headphone output, but it is line level. Also, this mic must be connected to a computer for power and to control the volume level to the headphone out.

Q: 4. Does this microphone have Automatic Gain Control?

A: This microphone does not offer an AGC. Gain levels are adjusted manually.

Q: 5. Does it have friction control?

A: No, but you can slightly tighten the controls to create makeshift friction.

Q: 6. Is there away to change the Base Mount thread to 1/4"?

A: Certainly! All you'll need is a 3/8"-16 reducer bushing like this one: https://bhpho.to/2WxKgYY or https://bhpho.to/34upiOY

Q: 7. Is the QR adjustable fore and aft? Is there a name for this feature?

A: The QR can be adjusted but it does not have a lot of range unfortunately.

Q: 8. If I wanted to point my camera straight up can this head accomplish that? Would I have to turn the camera a quick release plate around backwards?

A: I use a Manfrotto 410 geared head which has the same limited up pointing constraint. I mount my telescope, which obviously needs to point way up, on it. To get around the up pointing constraint I mount the QR plate with the telescope pointing "backwards." When I connect the telescope to the mount I am using the downward pitch as my upward pitch. Since the Benro plates are Arca-Swiss comparable there is no front or back to them. To maintain 3-way operation I would mount the plate in line with the optical axis of the camera and mount the camera to the head with the lens pointing out over the pitch handle. That is going to require reaching around the head to got to that handle which will be a little awkward, but allows control of pitch, yaw, and roll which becomes limited if the camera is mounted "sideways" as suggested by Staff.

Q: 9. Can I use it like an gimbal head ? Can I lock the horizon and just move up and down with circle move ?

A: It may be the closest head to a gimbal but you will achieve much results with a gimbal head as far as tracking and smoothness of motion.

Q: 10. Can i use this as substitute to my Benro FSL09C? Thanks

A: Yes it can be used as a substitute for the head on the Benro FSL09C tripod.

[White] I've had a pair of these for a few years now. They work very well as stage monitors. I use mine primarily as a monitor for my keyboards when performing. There is a multi-position switch that changes the EQ depending on the listening mode, but I usually leave it in Stage Monitor mode.

Inputs are combination XLR / 1/4 TRS jacks. However, the daisy-chain connection to another monitor is XLR only - not 1/4 TRS, which is a pain in the neck sometimes. And the volume setting on the first monitor determines the maximum volume setting on any daisy-chained monitors.

Overall, a very rugged monitor that has been dropped a few times and taken its share of abuse, but has never failed me. And it's a lot smaller and lighter than comparable stage wedges. To make sure I never lose the power cord, I have caribiners on the handle and the AC cord that I just snap together when transporting it.

B&H occasionally has sales on these and also bundles (stand and XLR cable) - jump on those sales when available!

[White] We installed two of these in a large space, that honestly needed about three times that many cabinets for coverage. We knew they would have to run at a high volume to be effective and they were! We powered them with the QSC RMX 2450 amp. They were clean, strong and tight. The client was happy and of course, so were we!

[Passive] These protect the speakers very well. In the past I had no covers and the speakers would get beat up and look like they just came off a international road show. These covers/Totes keep them looking new...I like them very much.

[2] Installed in my gun club as a PA speaker system, and filled the place with clear sound. Was surprised by the clarity at very loud levels! Adjustable wattage inside is a NICE feature when using some speakers in a large area, and others in small areas. Highly recommend these with a 70.7 V system. Thanks to B&H for affordable packages and FAST ship, you made me look good!

[11.9 lb] At home stereo set up, wanted to try new tech, noticed local rental joints are exclusively QSC (no passive speakers though).

Ordered smallest QSC speakers - I liked their look for home and their 85 degree pattern; with the idea to return them if I don't like the sound .

I employ them with a 200W Mackie amp and SVS-SB3000 sub, through a DDRC-24 Dirac Live room corrector.

The result is very pleasing, and the Tannoys are now retired.

There is more clarity in the sound and I can push more (a lot of) power into the system with the clarity still remaining there. I don't have to sit on the sofa to enjoy the sound, so 85 degree pattern is working well.

Note they are not flat, they require EQ/DSP corrector.

[Bass-Reflex] I bought 2 of these speakers to run out smaller workshop events with and to have them be the lead loudspeakers for our 500+ festivals where we rent 4-6 other similarly sized units.

The vocals and cleanliness of music at nearly all volumes in unmatched. We love that these have a lot of manual controls (DEEP, flat, external sub + Vocal boost, normal) outside of the mixer to further tailor what we're using them for in any given set.

Yes, these have the DEEP effect which adds a substantial amount of low end if you don't want to tie in subwoofers.

Love them.

[2-Way] Installed 8 of these speakers in a church of 500 w/ balcony. Absolutely phenomenal sound. The deep feature is fabulous. Great tonality and clarity, with warm lows. Plenty of overhead power. Very pleased with this purchase. Thanks B&H
