A: I believe so, it's possible you may need a different clamp than the one that comes with it. Note that although it is a telescoping boom, you still need to balance the weight, so make sure the distance is sufficient.

A: I contacted the manufacturer to confirm the collapsed length of the Auray MS-5220T Short Tripod Microphone Stand. The collapsed length of the stand without the boom arm attached is 17.7” and 24.5” with the boom arm attached.

A: When closed down to it's smallest size, the length is 34.5 , which includes the folded table and legs. The table size is 15.75 X12.75 . The table could be removed from the pole, but it's more trouble than it's worth. I leave it assembled. No bag or sleeve is provided.

[5/8"-27 Male] I've had one of these stands for about 3 years and is my main gigging stand. Solid! Holds fender p and jazz basses solidly and straighter than other stands letting me place it closer to the amp and out of the way. Just bought 3 more of these little buggers for around the practice space and our lead guitarist just bought 2 himself (mainly a les paul player). 5

[Fixed Length] I used this stand to mic guitar amps that sit low to the ground. It proves to be sturdy with a good center of balance so it won't tip over. Nothing negative to say about it. 5

[5 lb] I bought this for a DIY subkick mic, just a 10" woofer, which is much heavier then any other mic I have ever used. The boom on this stand holds it in place without tipping over or coming loose. It has been mounted for over a week and it hasn't moved a bit. If you need a short fixed boom stand that doesn't get in the way, this is it. 5

[31 x 4 x 4"] I used this stand while I was recording congregational singing. It was an experiment, but I am very pleased with the results. The stand is very steady even when the microphone is raised almost to the maximum. The only thing to be aware of is that the stand weighs slightly less than 40 lbs, so it may be difficult to carry long distances. Overall, the stand is very well built and served its purpose well, so I would definitely recommend it to others. 5

[5/8"-27 Male] I use this stand (one of five) for overhead miking various orchestral instruments and sections. It is tall enough, with the boom extended, to cover the high winds and strings in a band/orchestra, to supplement a center stereo pair and give better balance with the back row brass and winds. It is skinny enough to be unobtrusive placed in the middle of an orchestra or band. I found a suitable swivel at B&H to hang a stereo bar from a horizontal boom. A boom helps keep the microphones out of the way for video. If you don't need a 9' reach, the 40 reach of this stand might do the trick. 5

[Tripod] K&M stands are made very well. The heavy zinc base lends stability to the setup. The 43"-79" stand above is tall enough to be well overhead of seated musicians. With the long boom (42"), it can be used for space miking a choir or instrumental group for recording, or spot miking a choir on risers. I work strictly mobile, and these stands fold for easy transportation (other than weight). Tension on the legs is adjustable so they don't flop about. 5
