Q: 1. how can i slow down the horizontal speed thank you?

A: Hi, apparently you need the additional part of the PT Hub which will allow you to then slow-down the speed through your Iphone/ Ipad/ android device. I also made the mistake of not buying the PT Hub when I bought the MP-360 Tripod head,... so now I'll have to go back and buy it... good luck !!

Q: 2. Is it possible to add some extension for Power Panner Remote Control to be able to control attached camera from MegaMast 27.5'? Thank you

A: There is also a 50 ft cable BERE50

Q: 3. I am thinking of using the on my tripod and tilting it about 10-20 degrees for astrophotography. Can this product be able to work at these angles with a Canon 70D, 1.66 lb / 755 g with battery and memory card and a Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L USM Lens 1.05 lb (475 g). And will it jerk or run smooth at this angle?..

A: mp 350 are not design for astrophotography,

Q: 4. I cannot find a sample of how you use this to create panoramas. Can someone please explain the process? How do you program the CR? Where do you program amount of shots? Angles? Rotation speed? etc. Thanks!

A: GUILLERMO, happy to help! You also need the CamRanger wifi hotspot, and an iPad or iPhone or laptop with the free CamRanger software app. Their software is easy to use. It uses the live view function on your camera. After turning on the the CamRanger wifi hot spot, you connect to the CamRanger software to the camera via wifi with a range of about 300 feet. Everything on the camera is controlled by the software app, including focus, aperture, shutter speed, white balance, bracketing of shots . Software also controls pan and tilt head, rotation, number of shots, and rotation speed. Besides panoramas, it is also great for time lapse, macro photography, and bird photography. Only camera control that is missing is zoom... You can focus in and out with great precision, and even focus bracket your shots, all with their software. Be sure you have a good quality tripod that is rock steady. You will also need extra batteries for the CamRanger wifi hotspot , for your camera, and for the pan-tilt head. Another CamRanger app called CamRanger SHARE allows other people to view what you are seeing through the camera live view and review the photos as you take them. They only watch and review, but cannot change anything.

Q: 5. Is there any way to make this to be controlled wirelessly?

A: Yes, with the purchase of the CamRanger PT Hub AND the purchase of the CamRange (not the MP-360 & not the PT Hub, online searches can get confusing). The CamRanger provides the wireless connection to an iPad (any iOS device running latest iOS) and allows remote control of the camera functions by itself, but does not provide remote control of the MP-360. This device costs about $300-$350.The PT Hub connects the MP-360 to the CamRanger so the MP-360 can be controlled from an iPad using CamRanger application. This device costs about $120. Both the CanRanger and the PT Hub are needed to wirelessly control the MP-360 motorized tripod head. The CamRanger web site indicates an Android version of the CamRanger software is in the works.

Q: 6. Will this work like a robotic cameraman?

A: It is a motorized head that will pan the camera, and tilt it up and down, using the remote control.

Q: 7. Is it variable speed?

A: The CamRanger MP-360 Motorized Pan/Tilt Tripod Head speed can be varied.

Q: 8. Whats the difference between this product CamRanger MP-360 Motorized Pan/Tilt Tripod Head and CamRanger PT Hub and MP-360 Pan/Tilt Head ? I can see both takes the same load capacity, same tilt/panning range, etc.

A: The difference is if that one comes with the PT Hub and the other does not.The PT Hub allows you to hook the CamRanger to the MP-360 so you can use your smart device.

Q: 9. What's the minimal speed? This would be useful to know for timelapses...

A: The shortest interval between shots is one second. But if you are asking about minimal speed for a time lapse that is say 60 degrees it depends on the delay between shots and the amount of motion between shots. Another example of that is if you are using a minimum motion of about 0.1 degree that is 600 shots. The length of time again depends on the delay between shots.

Q: 10. How many conductors in the remote control cable?

A: I am sorry to say that is just not information made available by the manufacturer.

[0.24 lb] Mounted to a 50mm (2) arca swiss plate and works just as fine as the more expensive brands. Sure its not perfect and you may have to fiddle with it more to get it to work but you get a better value.

[6 VDC, 1 A] I was a little hesitant about purchasing this unit based off some of the negative reviews, however, I'm very glad I did! The unit works flawlessly and just as described in the description. I've used the CamRanger on several sporting events and love it! I even dropped it while still attached to the tripod and other than a few scratches, still works perfectly. Im thinking about buying another one for my second setup. If I had anything "bad" to say, it would be I wish the remote cable was 10 ft instead of 6. I understand you can purchase more cable and that's the next item on my list. There are certain setups that you'll need over 6 ft cable to get the job done. Overall. I LOVE this CamRanger and will continue supporting B&H and all products they recommend.

[9.6 oz / 272 g] 4.5 stars - Great for multi-row panoramas, even with lenses up to 135mm, due to its narrow 5 degree detents for the vertical axis. However, its not perfect. There are a few things that you should buy to make this panorama head better/complete:

* 38mm Arca Style Clamp for fast camera mounting
* Arca L-Bracket for your Camera
*Arca rail stop bars
* Tripod Leveling Base (Optional)

I highly recommend using the CR-3015A panorama head with the addition of a 38mm Arca Style Clamp to act as a quick release for your camera, coupled with an Arca compatible L-bracket for your camera. Without it, its necessary to unscrew a fairly long thread thumbscrew to mount the camera. Addition of an Arca clamp also makes it possible to mount properly in landscape mode when using an L bracket, which is what I prefer.

Using some Arca stop bars like those sold by RRS or Sunwayfoto will allow you to retain marks for your camera mounting for no-parallax-points in both axes.

Lastly, a proper leveling base upon which to mount the CR-3015A head is optional, but nice for fine tuned leveling. If you dont want to invest in a leveling base, just mount the pano head directly to your ballhead and level with the ballhead before shooting.

This is one of the few panorama heads that has positive detent clicks for both horizontal and vertical axes and with multiple angle degree options. It is, however a rather large head, coming in at 2.6lb (1.1kg), but supporting up to 17.7lb (8kg). I personally dont mind the beefiness as it allows me to use my Sony FE 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 on it.

[0.24 lb] Owned a CamRanger and then upgraded to CamRanger 2. Really like it. Decided to add the PT Hub and MP-360 Pan/Tilt. After a small snag (MP-360 didn't work...found I had one dead battery) I am VERY happy. Intuitive to use. Accurate. Great images first time out (while in the warmth of my home got some great bird pictures). Would recommend if you have the $$ and desire.
