A: I have an older model Gitzo and they fit fine. They are more warmers to keep hands off the cold metal, the padding is thin. But that being said they don't interfere with the center column.

Q: 10. Can this be dismantled further to reduce the length of individual components for air travel? As in, can you remove the risers from the leg and bottom section, carrying it as two parts, then reassemble it on arrival? If so, how short can each individual section get?

A: No, the Avenger Baby Alu Stand 25 with Leveling Leg (Black, 8.2') is not designed to be taken apart. Closed/collapsed the stand is 34.3" / 87 cm.

[25.0" (63.5 cm)] I ordered the wheels in the photo as seen on the B&H site which are narrow, exactly like the small wheels the R10 comes with. The wheels that arrived were much wider (maybe 2x or 2.5X as wide) and MUCH better. They roll over sidewalk cracks and uneven surfaces easily as the weight is spread across a wider wheel. This was a happy mistake, but Im very glad it happened. 5

[25.0" (63.5 cm)] This shelf is well worth the upgrade from the original. It does take a few minutes to adjust the tabletop to your cart to fit right but the time savings once you have it calibrated/adjusted is a night and day difference compared to using the bolts and butterfly screws to attach this. A must if you're looking to save time and frustration 5
