A: I dont see why the screw cant be replaced as mentioned, but youll have to grab the retaining washer with pliers.

Q: 9. I would like to attached a shoulder strap to the camera with 70-200mm L lens through this plate (thru looped handle)). Will this handle part (through which you tighten the plate to camera)strong enough for this task?

A: The loupe that comes with this plate isnt designed to support that kind of weight. If you wanted to attach a strap to the bottom of this plate, you would want to pick up the BlackRapid FastenR-T1 for Manfrotto 200PL-14 QR Plate (B&H # BLFRT1). The FastenR-T1 is designed for just this purpose.

Q: 10. Will this fit a Manfrotto 3229?

A: I only use Manfrotto, do not have your answer
