[0.135 lb] This is a fantastic diffuser. Helps create a nice soft light that spreads very evenly. I love my Timpani2 light. It is nice and bright, so this heavy diffuser is a great compliment to the light and creates a very flattering soft light. I have the light diffuser and the medium diffuser too, so this heavy diffuser completes the set and gives my an incredible amount of control. Which is what I want and like. In Lee filter/gel terms, I would compare this to roughly a 216 diffusion. But the best part about this panel, is you do not need to bother with cutting your roll of diffusion and use clothes pins to attach to the barndoors. This panel diffuser is made of made of polycarbonate that is attached to the light by supplied screws (which come with the light itself). It is very easy to install and stays on securely. So, there are no issues with wind, sound of a gel rustling, no light leak or any of those kind of annoyances. I love that. This diffusion panel is also well made so it should last a long, long time. I almost always use some form of diffusion for my lights and this heavy diffuser has become my favorite choice for beauty shots. [0.5 oz / 14 g] The material arrived a bit bent most likely because of the packaging and did seem to stay a little bit warped no matter how many times I try to straighten it, but other than that works great!� Still slides in between the Barndoors and LED bulbs just fine!� This is definitely a must have accessory!

[0.135 lb] Look. I understand that they're just reflectors with various levels of shininess. There is something different about these that is hard to describe.

I started with the starter kit. I bit the bullet and thought I'd give 'em a try. I surprised myself by how often I ended up using them and how helpful they are. Even my assistants are surprised at their usefulness. They're kinda like Graf Strato (Fisso) Stands and Cardellini Clamps. Once you start using them, you can't stop using them.

[0.135 lb] I love having diffusers for my led lights, especially for flat panels. I like to break up the multiple led bulbs so they are less spotty and noticeable. This particular one is a nice lighter diffusion than the one that comes with the Timpani2 light itself, which is labeled as medium. Although I like the medium diffuser that comes with the light, and use it often, this lighter version allows me the flexibility to keep more of the lights intensity and still diffuse it some making the individual LED's less noticeable. It is almost like an opal gel. Soft diffusion, but still effective. It also has less spread than the more diffused filter panel. Now that I have multiple diffusion panel options for my Timpani2 light also adds to my control over the quality of the light too, which is what I want. Because of the design of the Timpani2 light, the diffusion panels attach very easily and quickly. So it is fast to switch between them or even stack them. And because it is an actual panel made of Polycarbonate that is attached by screws, and not just a diffusion gel/filter attached to the barn doors, it is on very securely. So, there is no issue with wind, sound of it rustling, no light leak or any of those kind of annoyances. And no need to keep cutting diffusion gels to fit. I love that. As an additional positive, keeping the diffuser attached, it protects the LED's some, which is an added bonus. This diffusion panel is also well made so it should last a long, long time. Again, I almost always use some form of diffusion for my lights (unless it needs to be very spotty) and I like having options so I can dial it in exactly the way I want it. So, having this lighter diffusion option, in addition to the medium diffuser panel that come with the light itself, is very helpful and adds to my control over the lighting. [0.135 lb] I bought the Astra 6Xs and went with daylight instead of the Bi-color. I wanted to make sure I had the most punch I could get and since I tend to light mostly in daylight I figured the gels would be a good option for those times when I needed 3200. Seems like they are going to be just fine.
