A: Not exactly. The cable attached to the mic is XLR and that is typically run into a separate recorder such as a Zoom H4n or similar. I think you could get an XLR to headphone jack adapter to plug into a DSLR if you can choose the mic input on your camera to accept audio. It's recommended to attach this mic to a separate audio recorder and sync the footage and audio in post. This is a very good mic.

[Mogami] So, honestly, I don't know if cables are really worth this kind of money. Good cables cost, but do they really cost this much? I'm not a manufacturer so I can't say. All I can say is that I wanted the best cables to minimize interference and signal loss and these fit the bill. I could have bought less expensive cables that caused disappointment and then I would be out that money, so I just went for the "best". Absolutely no disappointment and signals are very clean. I didn't needs the "stage" model, but I couldn't find the regular "Gold" in a 30-foot length. Now that I have Mogami cables connecting all of my equipment (and a wallet that has substantially less green), I have peace of mind. This brand is one that you will be very happy with if you can spend the money and not look back. Don't think about first costs or you'll cry but - later - you'll be glad that you used some of your 401k to get the best. 5

[Mogami] This adapter is perfect to change any XLR microphone into a mini to fit directly into a DSLR. Perfect fix for anyone who owns an XLR microphone and wants to record sound directly into the DSLR camera. The Mogami cost more than others brands like the Sennheiser adapter, but the quality of build and sound diffrence is indisputable. 5

[0.8 lb] I only buy mogami. High quality and light weight. Great for mobile DJ. I have two 50' two 6' , and two 20' XLR. All three combined are equal to the weight of one regular XLR and I can hear the difference in clarity. Unless it's an illusion......they are expensive but if you have great gear, and people are paying you for good sounds, I like to please my audience and please my ears!! 5
