A: The L bracket slides into the top of the head, so the load of the head has no bearing. I'm not sure which camera you have, as there are specific ones for different cameras or universal ones as well. If you go to our website and enter your camera and then "L Bracket" afterwards in the search box, they will all come up.

A: You would just need a mounting plate that suits the Arca-Swiss style. RRS, Wimberley and many others make plates that will fit but the are not the same size as the Arca-Swiss. When using these plates on the C1 with the flip lock you have to adjust the jaw setting and grip friction(a little thumb wheel) to suit each type of plate. If you only use one plate that is fine but if you use a few different plates then you may end up having an accident one day. So just use one type of plate and since the Arca-Swiss plate is made for the head why not use these?
