[Proprietary] This is just the perfect kit for every professional photographer! I have always had to transport my equipments via various means So imagine the happiness in me knowing there is a kit with so many advantages. This is so easy to carry around (as i tend to move around alot! The job requires it!), i always set it up in so little time ( makes my work faster) and it has this cool stuff that i can actually dim the lights to a brightness of my choice (I love that)! It's really durable, the lights don't give any funny colors while in use and another great thing is the fact that after hours of work and i need to move to another location, i can pack the lights easily as they don't produce heat even with the large amount of work i put it to (which is very important for me)!!!

[45°] I was first introduced to Dracast LED lights by the DP on a film I recently produced. They performed exceptionally well and the color accuracy is outstanding. Based on that experience we decided to add two Dracast LED1000's to our production companies kit. Can't recommend highly enough!

[5600K] I've been a devout proponent of tungsten-based lighting for close to two decades - I finally decided to give LED a try for my corporate gigs that have limited circuits, space and time, and after looking at some tests online, these Dracast 1x1s seemed to be the best bang for the buck. Can confirm, they are. Beautiful 5600K light without that usual green or pink spike you see, the power of these things is intense, the dimming is precise and the color temperature doesn't seem to waver even on the lower end. They are light in weight, come in a nice portable zipper bag with shoulder strap for easy transport. The stands are a very small when packed up, and while I would have preferred they had a bit more height or another riser, they are strongly built and provide good stability at the base - better than I was expecting. It's a great package overall, and these lights now will be my go-to when doing corporate. They create a bright, soft light right out of the box, although I'd recommend a sheet of diffusion on each to soften the kind of pixel-looking shadow that an array of LED lights creates (it also helps for eye lights and for not blinding your subject with a thousand small dots). At only 60w with a tungsten 1000w equivalent, these things are invaluable in small spaces where power is limited and you don't want to turn the room into a sauna with hot tungsten lights. After 20 years and trying these lights, I might just now be an LED convert. Long live the new flesh!

[Yes] This light is perfect for my stills. It fits on any of your other lighting hardware. It takes up very little space and you can pop in the batteries and take it with you. You have a studio with you for street shots.

[Daylight] I've used this kit for filming nature shots, primarily in late afternoon, dusk, and night shots. As such, I've taken several trips with these lights and they have held up well. They're portable, lightweight, run efficiently on batteries, and put off a great light.

[CRI 95] After lots of research and experience using lots of LED lights, I was looking for a daylight LED light kit that was bright and spread a long way. I shoot a lot of instructional videos and product photos with a green screen backdrop. These lights were perfect for getting the desired effects and the low heat draw is wonderful. The light stands and accessories were suitable enough to not pay it any mind in operation.

[Proprietary] This light is lightweight, power-efficient, and is perfect for certain applications. I have already used it a lot outdoors, to provide both a kicker backlight on a cloudy day, and to fill in the shadows on a sunny day. The build quality is adequate, though I wouldn't want to drop this plastic housing on concrete.


The bundled batteries only run the light for ten minutes or so. Best to use those for something else. If you wish to use this light with batteries, get a pair of NP-F 950 batteries. Look for a well-reviewed generic, they are surprisingly affordable. The ones I got will power the light for well over an hour and a half at full power...pretty impressive.


No, this does not have a standard Bowens mount...but softboxes and beauty dishes are not the best use of this light anyway. Use the included white dome for some softness and spread, or clip diffusion on the little barn doors, or bounce it off of a reflector.


For outdoor one-man-band interviews far from power sources, or for a little light to spray into the background or for a million other uses, this light packs a lot of value.
