It is made from mulberry fiber (Kozo), which provides the characteristics known to Japanese Washi-style media, though this paper is more heavyweight than most with a 18.9 mil thickness and 200 gsm weight. This textured matte paper features a white coloration and forgoes the use of optical brighteners for maximum longevity. Additionally, it is pH neutral for archiving purposes.

Q: 1. Does this paper work OK in the P900 top loader or is it necessary to front load?

A: The Epson Legacy Fibre Paper (17 x 22", 25 Sheets), B&H # EPLEFR1722, can fit on either paper loader.

A: The 1430 normally won't handle the thickness of this paper. I have successfully been able to get one sheet of 11 x 17 to feed in a couple of years of trying.

A: Yes, these are the same paper.

Q: 4. does this paper compatible with Epson R3000 printer?

A: Not sure, but works well with the Pro-3800

Q: 5. What contrast do you get if you expose with typical incandescent light?

A: When printing without a filter with MultiTone Black & White RC Paper or any multigrade paper, it is considered a #2 contrast.

Q: 6. do you use photo black or matte black with this Epson fiber paper when printing on an Epson 4900 printer?

A: Exhibition Fiber paper by Epson is a semi-glossy paper that requires photo black ink.

Q: 7. Can I use this paper with Canon Pro series printer ?

A: Marcello, Yes, you can. Almost all papers can be used in all printers. What becomes specific and a help for accurate printing is that Epson, for example, provides profiles that match the paper to the printer. These profiles will probably not be appropriate for the Canon. However, they can be modified and you can create your own with screen and printer products like ColorMunki. But the simple answer is yes, print and then adjust for better results. Hope this helps.

A: This paper is not double sided. Can only print on the smooth side.

Q: 9. icc profile for p900?

A: The ICC printing profile for Epson Legacy Etching Paper (13 x 19", 25 Sheets) (B&H# EPLETCH1319) will be installed when you install all of the Epson software for the P900.

Q: 10. Do you think there is too much texture for 15" headshots in this paper? Would the Fibre be a better choice?

[Single] I used a 1922 Austrian woodblock print as the background for a business card. Inbe Thick is about 32 lb paper, the thickest that will go through my b&w laser printer. I've printed on it, torn it, soaked it in water. Its very strong, it tears cleanly and it has a superb subtle, very subtle, texture and its smooth and feels really good. Awagami is a special company. They have about twenty different papers made just for digital printing. Inbe is the whitest. Theres no bleach or brighteners. B&h delivered twenty pages of thick inbe for a little less than forty dollars. I've made a commitment to have Awagami paper. 5

[Matte] I recently purchased this archival paper to prepare photos and documents for long term storage. It was a great purchase. It also cut nicely with my paper cutter for special sized items. 5

[3.12 lb] There is little doubt that using washi is for many a new experience. In general, prints rendered on washi have less contrast and saturation then prints produced on Western digital papers. Nevertheless, the subtleties of tone and color produced in prints on washi reveal nuances that heretofore might not be appreciated. Kozo has a unique surface structure and a subtle hand that reinforce the hand-made nature of washi. Gone is the gob smacked in your face HDR effect of prints on some Western papers and revealed is an artistic print that becomes addicting. Once digital printing artists use Awagami washi it is difficult to use anything else. 5

[3.12 lb] Great paper for a lot of paper crafts. Inkjet print great on it. You will see the paper comes a bit larger than the 8x11 but I just cut off the extra by aligning up an 8x11 on it. 5

[Matte] I included a 20 sheet package of this Awagami paper in a larger order from B&H about two years ago. I had never used the paper before, but had read about it and wanted to give it a try. Well, I finally got around to trying it a few weeks ago and was pleasantly surprised with my first few prints. Using my Epson 3880 inkjet paper, the results were excellent. This paper will be my first choice in matte papers from now on. 5

[200 gsm] I love this paper. I'm an artist, focused on geometric pattern, mostly printed on Japanese papers the last few years. Inbe Thin is indeed very thin and delicate. It has a beautiful subtle texture. 5

[5x Sheet Paper] This is best done on a very sunny day. The more time you leave it, the better. The dark blue one was out for 20 minutes in the afternoon sun and the lighter one was only out for 10 mins late evening. I rinsed with water then dipped in hydrogen peroxide. Great activity to do with the kids 5
