Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can I use this paper with Canon Pro series printer ?

A: Marcello, Yes, you can. Almost all papers can be used in all printers. What becomes specific and a help for accurate printing is that Epson, for example, provides profiles that match the paper to the printer. These profiles will probably not be appropriate for the Canon. However, they can be modified and you can create your own with screen and printer products like ColorMunki. But the simple answer is yes, print and then adjust for better results. Hope this helps.

Q: 2. I thought this paper could be used with the Epson Surecolor P800?

A: This paper can be used with a Surecolor P800.

Q: 3. Is this paper glossy on both sides? Looking for a good weight paper to build packaging mockups.

A: No, this paper is not mat finish but it is not glossy on the back side .

Q: 4. Does this paper contain optical brighteners? And if so, do we have any information on archival quality? Would there be a difference in longevity of b&w vs. color prints?

A: Exhibition Fiber is a 325-gsm paper with an exceptional white base and is capable of deep, rich blacks. While it has a fiber paper base and is acid-and lignin-free, it does contain optical brighteners. According to Wilhelm Research, framed under UV glass using pigment inks, they say about 150 years. Album/dark storage is around 200 years. This is for both black and white, and color using pigment inks.

Q: 5. Do you think there is too much texture for 15" headshots in this paper? Would the Fibre be a better choice?

A: It is a matter of opinion if a paper has too much texture or not so I recommend testing a smaller size first such as this 8.5x11: https://bhpho.to/474yyYQ

Q: 6. Hi is this compatible with Epson 4900regards jeremy

A: Yes, they are compatible together.

Q: 7. Will this paper work with an Epson 1430 Printer?

A: The 1430 normally won't handle the thickness of this paper. I have successfully been able to get one sheet of 11 x 17 to feed in a couple of years of trying.

Q: 8. do you use photo black or matte black with this Epson fiber paper when printing on an Epson 4900 printer?

A: Exhibition Fiber paper by Epson is a semi-glossy paper that requires photo black ink.

Q: 9. Does this paper use the Photo Black or Matte Black cart in the P600/P800?

A: The Epson Legacy Fibre Paper (8.5 x 11", 25 Sheets) uses a smooth matte black.

Q: 10. HOW IS THIS 'SUPER 'B'' PAPER DIFFERENT THEN THE REGULAR EPSON EXHIBITION FIBER PAPER YOU SELL #S045037?

A: I just checked the B&H website. S045037 is the manufacturer's number for the Super B Epson Exhibition Fiber paper.

[Luster] I'll leave the science to someone else, let's talk intantangibles. Agave has a feel, texture and tonality that lens itself to toned B&W imagery. For me it's that beautiful, subtle, thiourea toner look we strived for in wet prints. On an image with lots of lighter tones, on Agave, we can add just a little highlight warming in post, leaving the blacks alone and get these stunning warm prints, with this beautiful paper texture that creeps through those areas with little to no image detail.

[128%] I didn't think I would love the cooler tones as much as I do but it is absolutely perfect for black and white!

[Yes] I tested all three natural fiber matte papers.

I thought Agave had the widest dynamic range, produced a whiter white, and had this really random and natural texture. It is a superb paper.

[Double] Brilliant paper for the right project. I printed on it (beautiful saturation and detail) and used it for the endpapers on an historic bookbinding project. Although not historically "accurate" it added the perfect amount of texture while remaining light and strong enough for the rigors of a life of opening and closing over and over. It is hard enough to find an inkjet artpaper that is light in weight. But to find one that is also strong (due to Kozo and hemp fibers) and filled with character (the larger fibers) makes this a remarkable find..

[128%] I am very pleased with the quality of this. The color gamut is spectacular and the paper takes my prints up a few notches. The pricing is very good per sheet and the shipping was very quick. Always a pleasure to order from B&H for all of my photography and printing needs.

[25x Sheet Paper] I have a fairly old, Canon inkjet printer. Honestly, I thought it was going to be good for nothing more than printing off standard documents. But oh man, this paper works wonders with this printer. The photos come out bright and have beautiful colors. I recommend this paper 1000%!

[Double] Just tried Hahnemule Agave Fine Art paper for first time with excellent result using an Epson 3880 printer. The image tones are rich and colors accurate. Peoples first reaction on seeing the images was WOW! The paper feels luxurious.

[3.475 lb] Straight off, I wondered it the profile would be close to those for Agave or Bamboo-Nope! So I downloaded the available Hahnemhle profile and it was fine. I will profile the paper myself to see if I can eke out a tiny improvement over the canned one. It's nice to have one more slightly different paper base to turn to in terms of paper color and texture. Reading the literature, I discovered that I had completely missed another Hahnemhle product based on a fourth alternative fiber source, sugar cane! Seems not to be available any more. I regret not having been able to try it.
