Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. I have a studio condenser mic with shock mount, can I use it or switch to it? Do I need an adapter ? Or is the mic stand equipped?

A: Yes, you should be able to attach the shock mount and studio condenser mic directly to the mic stand. The Pyle Pro mic stand that is included with the PMKSM20 microphone. Simply remove the Pyle Pro mic clip from the stand and then attach your shock mount. The Pyle Pro mic stand has a standard 5/8" thread.

Q: 2. Does this work with the razer seiren mini?

A: Yes, you can attach the Razer Seiren microphone to the Pyle Pro boom arm.

Q: 3. Does the joint at the mic maintain it's angle as you move the boom arm? Or do you have to reposition the mic each time the boom arm is moved?

A: The action of the spring inside the arm maintains a proportionate angle between the bottom and middle joints. Due to the nature of the spring-loaded arm, the joints do not naturally move independently of each other. It is however possible to keep the arm steady during adjustment without too much difficulty, and each joint can be manually adjusted if the opposite section is held in place with your other hand.

Q: 4. As I mentioned in my review, there is no ON/OFF switch. Does B&H sell a USB-C power/data ON/OFF switch?

A: Yes, we do sell a USB-C data power switch, which is the OBSBOT USB-A to USB-C Data Power Cable with On/Off Switch (B&H # OBOCB2107CT).

Q: 5. Does this come with the shock mount shown in the pictures?

A: The shock mount and microphone are not included: In the Box Pyle Pro Suspension Boom Scissor Microphone Stand (2.26') Clamp-Style Support Base 9.8' XLR Connection Cable 2 x Microphone Clips Limited 1-Year Warranty

Q: 6. Does this work with the Samsung g track pro?

A: While technically this could work with the G Track Pro, it is not ideal since it's giving you a shock mount and cable that are not compatible. For the G Track Pro, you would need the Samson specific shock mount B&H # SASP04TB, and a broadcast arm like this BH #PYPMKSHUSB04

Q: 7. Is this product recommended for ‘Rode Podmic’?

A: You can utilize this studio arm, but not the shockmount. The Rode Podmic has it's own mic holder, and is too wide to fit into the shock mount included with this boom arm. That being said, it is still a good value.

Q: 8. I want to make sure this is tall enough to reach over my monitor, I appears in the photo the section from the clamp to the elbow is equal in length to the section from the mic to the elbow, so is each section 28 inches in length or is it 28 inches from desk to mic measuring both sections together?

A: The total length of the entire arm (both sections) is 28". Samson does offer two options for longer arms with the same design. The MBA38 (B&H # SAMBA38) is 38" long and the MBA48 (B&H # SAMBA48) is 48" long. Both models are available in stock and ready to ship.

Q: 9. Where is the user guide or manual? I didn't receive anything in the box. How to I get the serial number of my product to register the warranty?

A: Please contact Samsontech directly: Samson Technologies • 278-B Duffy Avenue • Hicksville, NY 11801 • 516-870-7200

Q: 10. Does it work with the razer seiren mini?

A: Yes, you can attach the Razer Seiren mic to the Pyle Pro boom arm.

[Integrated] Easily movable, feels solid and made of good materials. Freed up a bunch of space on the desk the microphone was previously on.

[2.15 lb] Does it’s job, has springs, holds my heavier mics fine, I have it clamped to a 1.5in desk just fine, has 2 mic clips and the shock mount as well as a thread adapter and a warranty?!? For 25 bucks?!?!

[Integrated] I love this piece.

The Boom is great for hands-free speaking. I can create videos, participate in Zoom calls, and class and take notes and everything. My old boom sat on the desk and was always in the way, this one allows more flexibility in performance and it avails me the ability to have room to do other things.

The only complication I'm having with it is likely user error. The end of the boom, where the mic goes, tends to fall over, but again, I think that's user error and being in a hurry to hook it all up. Otherwise, this is one of the best pieces I've bought to complete this portion of the studio. Next, is a new tripod for the camera :)

[2.15 lb] It's a plain simple mic boom that attached to your desk. It keeps the mic out of the way until you need it. It also came with several mounting adapters including a very nice shock mount. I'm very pleased.

[Steel] The PyleUSA scissor stand is a great value for the price-- it works well enough to hold our new Rodecaster microphones and looks great doing it. In a land where $100.00 min stands are common, the Pyle offers a product that is barely more expensive than the cheap lightweight stuff, yet does the job with solid construction and feel. Highly recommended.

[Black] My first copy of this stand arrived just today. My one fear in ordering it was that since the base isn't all that large the stand might tip over if loaded with a heavy microphone at maximum height and extension. Therefore, I tested it quite thoroughly against that problem. With the stand sitting on a hard surface: -floor or table, I could simulate up to about a two-pound mic on it before it moved. That's plenty for our application, besides the fact that we'll probably never have the boom at full extension.
For the price, I think it's a very good buy.
