Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is it compatibile with the rode procaster?

A: The On-Stage Pop Blocker for Rode PodMic Microphone (Version 2) is specified for use with the Rode Podmic and will likely not function with the Rode Procaster microphone in the same manner.

Q: 2. What are the dimensions of the base itself? The specs list 1.5 x 6.8" - which is presumably height x either length or width, as itdoes not appear square.

A: The base for the Auray TT-ISO Isolating Desktop Microphone Stand measures 1.5 x 6.75 x 9.5" (38 x 171 x 241 mm).

Q: 3. Will this work well with Rode Podmaster mic with Rode PSM1 shock mount?

A: Yes the Rode PSM1 is directly compatible with the Rode Podcaster and the Rode DS1 mic stand.

Q: 4. What do you need to hold a boom pole to this stand?

A: This stand is very light weight, as it is designed to be extremely portable. I use a mini-boom with no counterbalance, but I don't get the mic too far from center. Just enough to clear my strings. If you use a full boom you'd have to counterweight it evenly with the microphone. At some point, the balance point would move too high and cause tipping. But it fits in a 20 bag!!!

Q: 5. How much weight can this hold?

A: It's pretty sturdy for a light weight stand. I would support any mic I can think of, but I would not put a $1000 mic on a boom at full height. Nice and compact. If super compact and full standard height is what you're looking for this will fit the bill. The heaviest 3-section stand is the AKG.

Q: 6. I'm looking for a way to attach my webcam to my desk mounted microphone boom with a shock mount. Wondering if this could attach this to the top arm of the boom & attach the webcam to it? The webcam has a standard hole to attach to a camera mount like a tripod.

A: It would work, yes. You would need the appropriate adapter for your cameras mount. I own one of these and frankly, all I use it for is to hang my headphones. It is kind of bouncy because of the type and thickness of the metal. It will adjust to fit either your mic stand pole or the boom. However, I really would not recommend it for a camera because of its real potential for vibration. Not even a web cam. May I suggest a simple adapter from the top of mic stand which fits your camera. This would be a lot less shaky. And less expensive.

Q: 7. How well does it fit the ATR2500 USB? Is there a hole for the Headphone output and volume buttons?

A: The ATT2500 fits the sub good . No there is no hole for the headphones output

Q: 8. Do I need this for a Yeti Blue mic?

A: The Blue Yeti microphone has an included desktop stand built right into the microphone itself, you would not need a shock mount for that particular model.

Q: 9. I can connect both together and film on iPhone 12 pro max?

A: Yes, the Sabinetek SmartMike+ is compatible with iPhone 12 PRO MAX. This will work with any Bluetooth receiver, the App is available for IOS and Android and may also be connected with a 3.5mm jack. for camera use. Key Features Wireless Mic with Bluetooth 5.0 Free SmartMike+ App Records Audio/Video Works with iOS and Android Devices Realtime Sound/Picture Sync via App Expandable to 2-Person Interview System Expandable to Wireless Audio for Camera 3.5mm Jack for Monitoring or Camera Use Foam Windscreen + Furry Windscreen 5 Hours on Built-In Rechargeable Battery Up to 49' Range

Q: 10. Will the K&M 23550 Adjustable Microphone Bar fit in this attachment?

A: Marcela,The threaded connector on the K&M 23550 is a 3/8 thread.On-Stage MY550 has a 5/8 thread, so the K&M piece will not fit. However, On-Stage offers a stereo mic bar as well, our MY500 - Stereo Mic Attachment Bar, which will be compatible with the MY550.Hope this helps!

[Twist Clutch] I've been giving these to my talent for the past 3 decades because they are the hardest to break.

[White] Having bought 8 of these I can attest that they are great. Sturdy
base and tight clutch. Not as heavy as my 50 year old Atlas stands but
not as pricey either. I heartily recomend these.

[5/8"-27 Male] Setting up a vocal mic for a drummer (overhead drop not possible) using a typical boom mic stand with a tripod base caused me headaches. None of the tripod legs could be in contact with the drum kit hardware as the mic would be picking up unwanted clicks. Dropping the 7 base in between the drum hardware is a snap. I coupled this stand with the MSA 7040 TB telescoping boom for a clean, tangle free set up.

[5/8"-27 Male] This is an exceptional stand, I bought it to hold a small electronic keyboard and it is just perfect. Looks good and the base is just heavy enough without being awkward. Totally adjustable and a good home studio addition that plays well with furniture!

[Twist Clutch] I am not using this for its intended purpose. I am using it for a portable over the air hdtv antenna stand for my camping setup. I like that it didn't have to mock something up myself. And the rod is easy to attach/detach from the base... which keeps the whole thing very portable for my needs.

[Twist Clutch] I needed a decent mic stand for a client but didn't want to break the bank either. I have always been pleased with the On-Stage Brand when purchasing other items. So, I figured I would give this a shot too. I'm glad that I did. You can't go wrong with this item.

It's a great economy straight mic stand. It's rugged. It's solid. It's heavy. It works!
