Extend your TOSLINK or S/PDIF audio signal up to 500' away with this MuxLab 500086 Digital Audio Extender Kit Cat 5e/6from MuxLab. The kit includes a transmitter, receiver, a power supply, and an optical cable. The transmitter can input either two channels of TOSLINK optical or S/PDIF audio and outputs the signal over a Cat 5e/6 cable up to 500' to the receiver. The receiver can output either a TOSLINK optical or S/PDIF signal to the other end for connection to a speaker system or optional converter.

A: Although the locking 1/8 connector looks the same, Tascam has the same polarity as Sennheiser. Not Sony. The Sennheiser lav SEME2II will work with the DR-10L.

Q: 8. How would you normally synchronize the audio recorded with the Tascam DR-10L with the video recorded at the same time?

A: Sync in post by matching camera audio to DR10 audio manually, or use plugin like plural eyes. I think adobe premiere may have a sync feature built in at this point, not sure. Main thing is that you need some type of audible in-camera audio to match with.

Q: 9. I’ve got the Tascam dr-10L yesterday. The OLED display under the clear protective display panel is not aligned. This is visible when the unit is turned ON. I clearly see that the OLED display rectangle not properly aligned with the protective display panel rectangle because its right side is higher than its left side. In other words, there are display external clear panel and the OLED display rectangles are misaligned: the sides of these two rectangles are not parallel to each other. Sorry, but It is causing annoyance. Anyone has same problem on its unit?

A: That is not correct and seems to be a defective unit.

Q: 10. Why won't a Sandisk Ultra micro SDXC work with this and an SDHC will? I have both cards and only the HC works. XC just causes it to freak out.

A: SDXC is a designation for Xtra Capacity which means larger than 32gigs. The specs for the Dr-10L only support memory cards 32gigs and smaller, which would be MicroSD and Micro SDHC.
