The Body Cap for Pentax K Mount Cameras from Sensei is a spare or replacement body cap for Pentax K mount camera bodies. This black plastic cap twists onto the lens mount of the camera body to protect the camera's sensor and interior from dust and damage when a lens is not in place. Finger-grip edges on the body cap aid in placement and removal. Having an extra body cap is a good idea in case the original gets lost on vacation or assignment.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. THIS SHOULD WORK WELL WITH MY NEW PENTAX SMC DA 18X270 SDM LENS F3.5-6.3 ED, CORRECT ?

A: Checked the compatibility list that came with my DA 1.4x and it does not list this lens as either compatible or Not compatible. To be sure you might want to check with Ricoh, though it does work with the 50-135 and 55-300 so I don't see why it wouldn't. You also may have to update your camera to the latest software for autofocus function.

Q: 2. Has anyone tried this teleconverter with the K3ii and the Pentax 150-450mm zoom lens?

A: Yes, users say the teleconvertor will magnify any positive or negative issues with the lens. One reviewer says "I was still very impressed, based on my experience with my K1 plus DFA 150-450 mm". Knowing that this teleconvertor is made for crop sensor cameras, using the K3ii, the results will be even better.

Q: 3. Is the focal length transmitted to the camera corrected? For example, if used with a 200mm, is the combination 200mm + 1.4x converter transmitting the info 'focal length = 280mm' to the camera? (Important for stabilization)

A: It does register if you use it with a Pentax lens. It shows 420mm with my DA*300mm F4 and 140mm with my Pentax 100mm WR. Not sure about the rest. Probably so if you you a fast lens. Dont know about non Pentax lenses.

Q: 4. does this work with HD Pentax-DA 55-300mm f/4-5.8 ED WR Lens?

A: Yes! I've shot some tack-sharp daylight wild animal photos with the Pentax DA 55-300mm/1.4x Rear Converter combo. Note: Since you'll lose an f/stop with the teleconverter, the combo will work best for outdoor tele-zoom photography in favorable lighting conditions.

Q: 5. Does this lens cap work with NiSi Filter Adapter for Ricoh GR III (49mm) ? Thanks .

A: Yes, the Sensei 49mm Center Pinch Snap-On Lens Cap, BH #SELC49 • MFR #LC-49 fit on the NiSi Filter Adapter for Ricoh GR III (49mm) once you have a 49mm filter attached to it.

Q: 6. I have a collection of various 82mm circular filters from ND & tint to circular polarizer that I use in conjunction with step down rings on various lens. Since the filters are 82mm may I assume I can use this lens cap over whichever filter may be windup on the front?

A: Wont be able to use a filter on this lens due to the front element.

Q: 7. Will this fix a Panasonic lumix?

A: There are many Panasonic Lumix lenses and cameras of different diameters. This will fit those that have a 52mm filter thread.

Q: 8. I own a Pentax K-3 with several lenses. Two of them are Sigma's. I am planning to use this coverter on my Sigma 70-300mm F4-5.6 APO DG Macro. Is this a viable choice to extend my capabilities? Sharpness? Loss of stops? Thank you!

A: I use the converter with a K-3 & a Pentax 300 mm F4 lens. As everything is Pentax all the lens functions are maintained and the camera recognizes the set up as a 420 lens. The set up dropped 1.6 F stops. Images are tac sharp!

Q: 9. Will this lens work on a Pentax 55-300 lens? Thanks. Steve

A: You may or may not be happy with the results. Bear in mind that teleconverters are designed to work properly with prime (fixed) fast lenses...f4 or faster. On zooms, even on fast zooms like 70-200f2.8, the results will not be that great. 55-300mm.... Probably not worth spending $$500 for a TC since the performance and quality will be marginal. I don't like it in my 70-200 f4 or f2.8

Q: 10. Will this work on nikonz5 with 24-50mm lens? The lens cap Size is 52.

A: Yes, a Nikon NIKKOR Z 24-50mm f/4-6.3 Lens would be compatible with the Sensei 52mm Center Pinch Snap-On Lens Cap.
