[0.19 lb] After hesitating to purchase this extremely expensive Voigtlander LH-10 lens hood, I decided it was appropriate. The lens comes in its own box and wrapped in a plastic slip for future storage. The exterior black paint is quite elegant and very smooth. The superior workmanship is evident upon immediate inspection. There are micro-edges inside of the outer ring of the hood like most lens hoods and they are quite sharp - keep your fingers away. The words "LH-10" and "VOIGTLANDER" appear to be etched into the metal as the letters can be felt when smoothly running a finger over them. I can confidently say that if you are serious about pairing your beautifully crafted Voigtlander 50mm f/1.2 then you will attach its intended hood.

[0.19 lb] I had been following Voigtlanders main website for awhile and saw the 35mm & 21mm new aspherical lenses and could not wait until they became available in the US.  I ordered mine from B&H on 2/10, the first day available.  It was delivered on 2/14.  I tried it out over the weekend and I love its size.  It is small, but not as small as the pancakes lenses.



It has metal, scored grip that allows you to quickly focus the lens.  I was concerned that the focusing knob was too small and might even poke me, but it was not an issue.  The focusing knob may not be as nice as my 28mm Voigtlander lens, but this does the job.


I plan to use this new 35mm on my R2A most of the time and have the 28mm on my R4A most of the time.


I assume the lens will perform well with the aspherical element that the 28mm does not have.  I have been very happy with my 28mm, 50mm and 75mm Voigtlander lenses.  I plan to buy the 21mm f/3.5 later this year.


A couple of things to note that are obvious in the photo of the lens, but they are there.  1) the metal, scored focusing ring 2) the base of the lens is wider than the top - giving the lens an overall slight pyramid shape.

[Thread] This hood lends quite a bit of visual appeal and protection to the Voigtlander 40mm f2 Ultron. The included cap fits nicely, superior to the fiddly pinch cap that can pop off if brushed against something. If you want to dress up your lens a bit, the Voigtlander hood and cap does the job to a T.

[0.19 lb] I've read a number of reviews praising the IQ of this lens and I'm happy to say their praise was well founded. It's hard to get a full frame look on a crop sensor, but this small gem of a lens gets very close to that level of quality. My only manual focus lens and it's a joy to use. I highly recommend it.

[63.5 mm] I purchased two of the Voigtlander X-Mount lenses, the 27mm f/2.8 and the 35mm APO Macro f/2.0. Both of these lenses are a work of art with beautiful, solid build, quality aperture and focusing control, and typical Voigtlander stellar optics. Plus the manual focus is mechanical in the lens (very precise), not focus-by-wire as with most AF X-Mount lenses. Lastly the electrical contacts to the body provides lens info for EXIF data.

The Voigtlander 27mm f/2.0 lens is slightly heavier than the Fujifilm 27mm f/2.8 R WR lens, although manual focus and one stop faster. The Voigtlander lens is very easy to focus on both the X-T5 and X-H2, and definitely sharp enough for the 40MP sensors. I like the rendition better with the Voigtlander than the Fujifilm, and this lens is the perfect lens for the X-T5. In fact the Voigtlander 27mm is currently the lens that is on my X-T5 more than any other lens, and I am thinking about selling the Fujifilm 27mm. I guess that says it all...

[0.19 lb] It's preference, but I'm digging the results from this 35mm. I use it on a fuji x-pro3 and with the adaptor the focus knob lines up in a weird place which is a little annoying, but that's it. The look is great. I also had the 35mm 1.4 fuji lens but I'm preferring this as far as sheer aesthetics goes. The fuji is great for autofocus and performs great optically.

[0.19 lb] Fantastic metal lens hood with matching metal cap. Voigtlander, please make two more to fit a 67mm and 82mm filter. Please!!

[63.5 mm] Typical, well designed, quality constructed, all metal item from Voigtländer. If you want a hood, get this. Highly recommended!

[0.19 lb] Perfect. No need for a corner cut-out in the hood, as the lens + hood combo is small an unobtrusive.

[Thread] I purchased the Leica M 11 a couple of months ago and quickly decided that Voigtlander lenses would not only be more economical but lighter and just as good as the Leica's. Out of the 10 lenses lenses that I bought, only two came without lens hood. and while I tried out several advertised on Amazon, they either didn't fit or totally destroyed the look of the camera and lens. Luckily, I found the LH-8 and 10 hoods. They fit perfectly and enhance the lens. I recommend them without hesitation.
