The 45° angled-viewing Celestron TrailSeeker 65 16-48x65 Spotting Scope Angled Viewby Celestron TrailSeeker 65 16-48x65 Spotting Scope Angled Viewfeatures a versatile 16-48x zoom eyepiece to provide views from generous vistas at the lower power to tight, detailed images at the higher end. Proprietary anti-reflection XLT fully multi-coated optics allow for efficient light transmission through the optical path for crisp, high-contrast views. Dual focus offers precise image control by allowing a preliminary coarse focus, which you can then refine using the fine-focus control for a tack-sharp view.
The angled eyepiece permits comfortable glassing whether standing, sitting or lying flat on the ground. You can rotate the scope in its tripod collar a full 360° to put the eyepiece in the best position. The tripod foot has one 1/4"-20 threaded brass hole with two inset holes (front/rear) for attaching to a tripod. The TrailSeeker 65 has a nitrogen-filled waterproof housing that won't fog up in humid conditions and features a sliding sunshade to keep glare or raindrops off the objective lens. To facilitate digiscoping, a T-adapter is included so you can mount a T-ring compatible with your DSLR to the eyepiece. For adverse weather conditions, a stay-on carrying case is included, which can be left on the scope during use—zippers fore and aft open for the objective lens and the eyepiece. The TrailSeeker is designed to use standard 1.25" astronomical eyepieces, so in addition to the included zoom eyepiece, you can use other eyepieces on your spotting scope to achieve higher magnifications, wider field of views, etc.

Related Questions and Answers
Q: 1. Does the Celestron Ultima 65 have a 1.25 interface? thank you
A: The Celestron Ultima 65 18-55x65mm Spotting Scope can take any telescope 1.25" eyepiece
Q: 2. Can I put the proctective filter in the front? If yes, what filter diameter size? Thx
A: The Celestron TrailSeeker 100 22-67x100 has no filters. If you are referring to the objective lens cap that comes with the scope. That would slip over and cover the objective. Which is 100mm.
Q: 3. What kind of tripod mount does it come with? Arca-swiss or RC2? Is the mount replaceable?
A: The Hummingbird 9-27x56 ED Micro Spotting Scope is Arca-swiss compatible. The mount is replaceable.
Q: 4. I have tried the following: Regal M2 - t-adapter ring - t-mount - EOS-MFor testing I used a focus target taped to a wall and found that: - when the centre of the frame is in focus, there is slight blurring toward the edges - there is very noticeable pincushion distortionI realize that this may not be critical when digiscoping wildlife.Do these issues always appear when using a t-mount to hold your camera sensor up to an eyepiece? Is it possible that switching to a better/different eyepiece will avoid these issues?
A: This is normal at times. It depends on the scope and how you are focusing in. The problem with switching the eyepiece you cannot thread the T-Adapter onto the eyepiece with the T-Ring. My apologies for this inconvenience. Also there might be some distortion because of the lighting?
Q: 5. How do you relate the magnification (in this case 16-48, as I understand it) to the specs of the Accessories Eyepieces? These are listed in mm, not magnification. Thanks
A: To calculate the magnification, simply divide the focal length of the scope (382mm) by the focal length of the eyepiece used. For example, if you used a 10mm eyepiece, you would have a magnification of 38x.
Q: 6. The eyepiece is removable, is there an additional function for this? Can we attach dslr with tring? What is the mag without the eyepiece?
A: The eyepiece is removable. Turn the eyepiece holder ring counterclockwise and pull the eyepiece out. I believe you will need a special adapter that would fit in the eyepiece slot since there are no threads to attach the T ring directly. The magnification would depend on the size of you camera's sensor.
Q: 7. What is the outer diameter of the eyepiece?
A: The eyepiece is approximately 6.5" in diameter.
Q: 8. I have 7d mark2 ,can I fix directly with scope?
A: Yes you can purchase the Vello Lens Mount Adapter T-Mount Lens to Canon EOS Camera to mount your body onto this Spotting Scope. It come with an adapter ring in the box for T-Rings. Website link: https://bhpho.to/2gWc43b
Q: 9. the Tripod Mounting Thread on this scope is too small for the screws on either one of my tripods (Gitzo and RRS). What's the best solution? I'm not going to buy another tripod.
A: This scope ha a universal screw hole of 1/4"-20 which most tripod heads have. Tripod legs or columns have a 3/8"-16 stud to mount a tripod head. If you need a 3/8" to 1/4" adapter, Desmond DTR-1 3/8"-16 to 1/4"-20 Tripod Thread Reducer BH #DEDTR1 • MFR #DTR-1 Desmond DTR-1 3/8"-16 to 1/4"-20 Tripod Thread Reducer BH #DEDTR1 • MFR #DTR-1
Q: 10. A common criticism of this scope is that the mounting foot is too far forward. It appears that if the foot/support ring were turned around, the overall balance would be better. Can this be done by the user?
A: Unfortunately, the foot/support ring cannot be turned around.
