The 45° angled-viewing Celestron TrailSeeker 80 Spotting Scope 20-60x80 Angled Viewby Celestron TrailSeeker 80 Spotting Scope 20-60x80 Angled Viewfeatures a versatile 20-60x zoom eyepiece to provide views from generous vistas to tight, detailed images. The 80mm objective lens possesses light-gathering capability superior to that of scopes with smaller lenses, which makes for a bright image and enhances the scope's capabilities in low-light conditions. Proprietary anti-reflection XLT fully multi-coated optics allow for efficient light transmission through the optical path for crisp, high-contrast views.

The angled eyepiece permits comfortable glassing whether standing, sitting, or lying flat on the ground. Dual focusing offers precise image control by allowing a preliminary coarse focus, which you can then refine using the fine-focus control for a tack-sharp view. You can rotate the scope in its tripod collar a full 360° to put the eyepiece in the best position. The TrailSeeker 80 has a nitrogen-filled waterproof housing that won't fog up in humid conditions and features a sliding sunshade to keep glare or raindrops off the objective lens. To facilitate digiscoping, a T-adapter is included so you can mount a T-ring compatible with your DSLR to the eyepiece.

For adverse weather conditions, a stay-on carrying case is included that can be left on the scope during use—zippers fore and aft open for the objective lens and the eyepiece. The TrailSeeker is designed to use standard 1.25" astronomical eyepieces, so in addition to the included zoom eyepiece, you can use other eyepieces on your spotting scope to achieve higher magnifications, wider fields of view, etc.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can I put the proctective filter in the front? If yes, what filter diameter size? Thx

A: The Celestron TrailSeeker 100 22-67x100 has no filters. If you are referring to the objective lens cap that comes with the scope. That would slip over and cover the objective. Which is 100mm.

Q: 2. the Tripod Mounting Thread on this scope is too small for the screws on either one of my tripods (Gitzo and RRS). What's the best solution? I'm not going to buy another tripod.

A: This scope ha a universal screw hole of 1/4"-20 which most tripod heads have. Tripod legs or columns have a 3/8"-16 stud to mount a tripod head. If you need a 3/8" to 1/4" adapter, Desmond DTR-1 3/8"-16 to 1/4"-20 Tripod Thread Reducer BH #DEDTR1 • MFR #DTR-1 Desmond DTR-1 3/8"-16 to 1/4"-20 Tripod Thread Reducer BH #DEDTR1 • MFR #DTR-1

Q: 3. Is it possible to mount an Olympus OMD 4/3 camera with an adapter? & if so which one?

A: If the Olympus camera can mount a T-ring adapter, it could be done. In fact, there are so many adapters out there, you could surely find one. I have mounted a Nikon DSLR to my Spotting Scope. However: since this is eyepiece projection, the vignetting is horrible. I got one image of a bald eagle with my rig, but was very disappointed with it, and haven't tried again. It's a great spotting scope, but not an adequate photo accessory.

Q: 4. Hi just what the freight charges would be to Newcastle nsw Australia might be. Cheers Alan.

A: B&H ships to Australia via DHL DHL Express would be $50.51 US Dollars. You still will be responsible for duties and taxes once it arrives in Australia

Q: 5. If used with Nikon D810 (FF) and appropriate adapter, what would be the effective focal length at the widest (20x) setting? Thanks.

A: Like using a 1,000mm lense at 20X

Q: 6. Will it accept 1.25 astronomical eyepieces?

A: The Celestron Ultima 80 20-60x80mm Spotting Scope does not accept astronomical eyepieces however you could consider the Celestron Regal 80mm scope instead: https://bhpho.to/3FhBxAv

Q: 7. The specs are not available for this product. What is the eye relief?

A: 12mm (1/2 )

Q: 8. Will this accept a Celestron T-ring for my Cannon Rebel?

A: You still need the Celestron SLR (35mm OR Digital) Camera Adapter for All Refractor and Reflector Telescopes which Accept 1.25" Eyepieces - Requires Camera-Specific T-Mount Adapter BH #CETA1.25 • MFR #93625 https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/202135-REG/Celestron_93625_SLR_35mm_OR_Digital.html To attach to the scope. The T-ring will now screw with this adapter

Q: 9. What comes in the box ?

A: Included In the Box would be the following Celestron TrailSeeker 100 22-67x100 Spotting Scope (Straight Viewing) Tripod Balance Plate T-adapter Step Ring Stay-On Carrying Bag with Shoulder Strap Objective Lens Cap, Eyepiece Mount Cap & Eyepiece Cover Limited Lifetime Warranty

Q: 10. Whats the difference between this and the CEU80?

A: The CEU80 is not a kit. It does not come with a StediStock Shoulder Brace like B&H # CEU80F.

[20 to 60x] My wife and I use this scope to spot Eagles at a local wildlife preserve.
The scope is very easy to use and has a perfect image.

[18.0 to 15.0 mm] I bought the TrailSeeker because it had Dual Fine / Coarse zoom control and a large 100mm aperture lens.
I also installed a Baader Mark 4 Zoom eyepiece which takes this scope to the next level. Well worth doing.
B&H service was fantastic.

[18.0 to 15.0 mm] The TrailSeeker 80 offers great performance at a value price. I bought it for my wife. We have a small pond outside our backyard and the scope gives great clarity to the waterfowl who inhabit the wetlands. I plan on building a digiscope adaptor which will allow us to easily record videos and pictures.

I spent a lot of time researching the options, and am very satisfied with this purchase. Yes, you can do better, but nothing in the price range comes close. Given the price and ease of setup, this is the perfect package for the price. It's relatively portable and should provide years of service.

[18.0 to 15.0 mm] We have been watching birds from our living room window and this is a great addition to binoculars. Great so far!

[80 mm] This scope is well built, and has a rotating tripod mount that allows
viewing in almost any position. The image quality is very bright
and sharp up to about 40mm and then gradually darkens

in the 50 X to 60 X range which is to be expected. The eye relief is generous and extends, and the field of view is excellent. The focusing knobs both coarse and fine are together and a bit awkward to focus quickly and takes getting used to. It would have been nice if like their other scopes it had a built in sight on the side.

I like the screw-on protective metal cap on the eyepiece along with the included stay on carrying case. I think it is a terrific spotting scope for its price class although it might be a bit large to carry in the field. I recently purchased the Celestron Omni (Plossi) eyepiece – 32mm which now provides clearer and brighter image easily matching scopes costing three times the price...Louie D

[20 to 60x] Wanted to upgrade to a decent scope but did not want to spend $2000. The Trailseeker 80mm is better than I expected. Some online reviews were not raving about going past 30x zoom as far as clarity. I was more than pleased at 60x zoom, photo taken was using I-phone adaptor on windy day at 60x zoom.

[Angled] I love it! The scope is easy to use and quick to focus. The carrying case is fab! Don't even have to take it off to use the scope when on your trip-pod. It's light and easy to carry and very clear!
