The 45° angled-viewing Celestron TrailSeeker 80 Spotting Scope 20-60x80 Angled Viewby Celestron TrailSeeker 80 Spotting Scope 20-60x80 Angled Viewfeatures a versatile 20-60x zoom eyepiece to provide views from generous vistas to tight, detailed images. The 80mm objective lens possesses light-gathering capability superior to that of scopes with smaller lenses, which makes for a bright image and enhances the scope's capabilities in low-light conditions. Proprietary anti-reflection XLT fully multi-coated optics allow for efficient light transmission through the optical path for crisp, high-contrast views.
The angled eyepiece permits comfortable glassing whether standing, sitting, or lying flat on the ground. Dual focusing offers precise image control by allowing a preliminary coarse focus, which you can then refine using the fine-focus control for a tack-sharp view. You can rotate the scope in its tripod collar a full 360° to put the eyepiece in the best position. The TrailSeeker 80 has a nitrogen-filled waterproof housing that won't fog up in humid conditions and features a sliding sunshade to keep glare or raindrops off the objective lens. To facilitate digiscoping, a T-adapter is included so you can mount a T-ring compatible with your DSLR to the eyepiece.
For adverse weather conditions, a stay-on carrying case is included that can be left on the scope during use—zippers fore and aft open for the objective lens and the eyepiece. The TrailSeeker is designed to use standard 1.25" astronomical eyepieces, so in addition to the included zoom eyepiece, you can use other eyepieces on your spotting scope to achieve higher magnifications, wider fields of view, etc.

Related Questions and Answers
Q: 1. Can I put the proctective filter in the front? If yes, what filter diameter size? Thx
A: The Celestron TrailSeeker 100 22-67x100 has no filters. If you are referring to the objective lens cap that comes with the scope. That would slip over and cover the objective. Which is 100mm.
Q: 2. the Tripod Mounting Thread on this scope is too small for the screws on either one of my tripods (Gitzo and RRS). What's the best solution? I'm not going to buy another tripod.
A: This scope ha a universal screw hole of 1/4"-20 which most tripod heads have. Tripod legs or columns have a 3/8"-16 stud to mount a tripod head. If you need a 3/8" to 1/4" adapter, Desmond DTR-1 3/8"-16 to 1/4"-20 Tripod Thread Reducer BH #DEDTR1 • MFR #DTR-1 Desmond DTR-1 3/8"-16 to 1/4"-20 Tripod Thread Reducer BH #DEDTR1 • MFR #DTR-1
Q: 3. Is it possible to mount an Olympus OMD 4/3 camera with an adapter? & if so which one?
A: If the Olympus camera can mount a T-ring adapter, it could be done. In fact, there are so many adapters out there, you could surely find one. I have mounted a Nikon DSLR to my Spotting Scope. However: since this is eyepiece projection, the vignetting is horrible. I got one image of a bald eagle with my rig, but was very disappointed with it, and haven't tried again. It's a great spotting scope, but not an adequate photo accessory.

Q: 8. Will this accept a Celestron T-ring for my Cannon Rebel?
A: You still need the Celestron SLR (35mm OR Digital) Camera Adapter for All Refractor and Reflector Telescopes which Accept 1.25" Eyepieces - Requires Camera-Specific T-Mount Adapter BH #CETA1.25 • MFR #93625 https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/202135-REG/Celestron_93625_SLR_35mm_OR_Digital.html To attach to the scope.
