Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is this sufficient for the JVC GY-HM 170UA?

A: We would suggest the Arco Video Dr. Bag 20 which would hold the camera with the microphone attached. The Arco DSLR & Video Dr. Bag 10 could work, but it would be a tight fit. Arco Video Dr. Bag 20 BH #ARCSD20B https://bhpho.to/3HFa7oF

Q: 2. Will this work with an f8

A: Dimensions of the Zoom F8 are 7 x 5.5 x 2.1" and the interior of the ORCA OR-280 is 9.4 x 7.9 x 4.5" so the F8 will fit inside, but the bag is larger than needed. As a better option for a similar bag that is sized for the F8, you may like the ORCA OR-28 Mini Audio Bag for ZOOM F8, Zaxcom Max, Tascam DR70 & Other Recorders (B&H # OROR28), or the ORCA OR-27 Small Sound Bag (B&H # OR27), or the ORCA OR-272 Sound Bag for Zoom F4 and F8N (B&H # OR272), or the ORCA OR-30 Audio Mixer Bag (B&H # OROR30).

Q: 3. what orca 280 can for mixpre 10 ii ?

A: The ORCA OR-280 Audio Bag for MixPre-10 Mixer is compatible with the MixPre-10 ii.

Q: 4. Could this bag fit underneath an airplane seat?

A: This case has external dimensions of 16.00 x 9.0 x 9.0" , with carry-on being 22 x 14 x 9". This will qualify for a carry-on bag. As far as if it can fit under your seat that would be something you'd need to check with the airline regarding.

Q: 5. Will the OR-280 work with the TASCAM DR-680MK II?

A: Yes it will fit the Tascam recorder: Orca bag: Dimensions: Interior: 9.4 x 4.5 x 7.9" / 23 x 11.4 x 20 cm Exterior: 12.2 x 9.8 x 8.7" / 31 x 25 x 22 cm Tascam recorder: Dimensions (W x H x D) 8.5 x 2.2 x 7.4" (216.4 x 56.0 x 188.4 mm)

Q: 6. I would like to put a Canon C100 and C300 in the bag. Would it be possible to set it in, without the handle or LCD screen stopping it from closing?

A: The C100 and C300, with top handles are 11.1 tall. The only Arco bag that is tall enough is the Arco Video Dr. Bag 40. It's interior dimensions are 23 x 11 x 11 (58.4 x 27.9 x 27.9 cm) so it is a tight fit but should work.

Q: 7. is there a difference between Orca Or-28 and orca Or-280?

A: There is a difference between the Orca OR-280, which has a larger internal size and is optimized for the Sound Devices MixPre 10, and the OR-28, which is smaller, and designed for the Zoom F8, Tascam DR-70, and other portable recorders of that size range.

Q: 8. Any chance there's a way to carry a tripod on this as well? Thanks!

A: While this does not come with a way to attach a tripod to the outside already, you could use this Porta Brace PS-6 6" Piggin String (Set of 3) to do so. B&H # POPS6 will allow you to attach a tripod to this carry bag. https://bhpho.to/2Q0NApG

Q: 9. How secure is a camera with shotgun mic in this bag while it is rolling? I'm concerned about it bouncing around.

A: We suggest always dismounting the mic always when traveling to avoid any accidental mishaps.

Q: 10. Will this fit a Panasonic HC-X2000?

A: Yes it will.

[14.4 lb] If you want a camera bag that can also carry much more gear, this is your solution. We can fit our URSA Mini Pro on its shoulder rig, along with Canon Cine zoom, UM power supply, batteries and more. This can end up making the bag quite heavy, so the optional trolley makes sense..The bag is slightly over the linear 45 limit for carry-on baggage. It's probably fine on larger aircraft, but on commuter planes or puddle jumpers, it's probably too large.

[22 x 16 x 13"] This is a must have accessory for the Orca camera bags. I have an Orca OR-12 for my Sony FS7 camera. While I love the bag, it gets heavy to carry around due to the size and shape. This cart is the best investment I have made. It easily attaches and detaches to the case, it's light, and it rolls very well. The handle extends and retracts easily. It basically turns your Orca bag into a carry on luggage type of bag. It looks pretty slick too and matches the blue bag.

[22 x 16 x 13"] It is a very light bag and easy to organize your tools inside of it. A great purchase!!!

[Universal] This trolley is great!

Much lighter in weight than my previous one and folds up very nicely for storage when I get to my client or event.

You can slide two Ruggard Pro 75 cases on the handle and still have room for a backpack or laptop case.

Great wheels and rolls nicely.

[Black] I got the OR-14 specifically to house my SONY FS-100 rig on a Berkey sled system with Wooden Camera NATO Handle Kit, a smallHD 501 monitor and a Sennheiser MKH-50 mic with Cinela LEO Ball and fur. I was hoping to get a smaller bag (the Orca OR-12) but I quickly realized I needed a larger one to fit all my gear: three lenses, lens hoods, tools, batteries, battery charger, WarmCards, small HD Sidefinder, screw on filters in a Kinesis case, and the list goes on. Because of the fixed height of the Bright Tangerine Titan Arm, I have to leave the ingenious top tray at home (which pains me). I have to remove the smallHD 501 monitor as well as the NATO handle, Rycote INV-HQ mkIII shock mount and MKH-50 and Leo ball due to height constraints. The internal LED light is a huge bonus on dark sets or evening exterior shoots. I'm on a big personal project this year and I need to be able to travel light with all my camera gear in one case and my Cartoni Focus tripod in a second case: one case per hand. The Orca case and trolley system rolls beautifully. Three minor things that I would ask Orca to consider addressing: the AA battery case/switch is prone to failure and needs to be handled carefully. I have replaced a number of identical battery cases on my Petrol LED light strips inside my audio bag. I'd like to see a beefier On/OFF switch that wouldn't have to be handled with kids gloves. Also, it would be nice if ORCA could sell as an option a half-size lid tray for people in my situation who can't use the full tray because of the height of their camera rigs, but could still manage to squeeze in a half-size tray. Third the handle seems to have a small bit of play in it but so far, it functions fine, so no complaints here. Honestly I paid a lot more than I wanted to, but in return I got more in the way of design and build quality than any other case I've ever owned.

[Universal] I can fit my fs7 pretty much fully built (without matte box or ext. unit) with space for a couple other lens and some bits and pieces. Top tray is awesome for keeping smaller things securely. Keep in mind this is big; I only use it for local shoots not for travel.

[Universal] For years I've fiddled around with a regular tripod bag for our Monfrotto tripods paired with Sachtler heads. In recent years we've added a mic stand and a couple monopods to the same bags. They were clunky, hard to carry sometimes, and ripped often, requiring me to get new tripod bags every couple years for each set of our tripod kits. I decided to splurge on a new rolling case that can offer more protection for our equipment. I did a ton of research on them and, without ever seeing one of these bags in person, decided to try one out. When it arrived I was 100% blown away with the quality. It's very solid. Don't let the vinyl outer material fool you. In fact, the top is a nice soft leather of some sort. Nice touch! There are plenty of pockets for extension cords, spare tripod parts or whatever else you can think of, and it easily fits our tripods, monopods and mic stands all in one protected kit. I can see this thing lasting at least a decade, it's that well built. When they say you can take this as checked luggage on a plane, that's no joke. This baby seems bulletproof. Wound up buying four of them for all of our tripod kits. The last three had to be shipped from the manufacturer and arrived in about a week after ordering. Well worth every penny. It'll pay for itself! I can't imagine having to buy another tripod bag for at least 10 years... it'll probably last way longer than that. Best part... if something breaks on it (wheel or whatever), Orca sells spare parts! WIN!
