[White] I bought this to use with a Fiilex P360 light. The construction is good, sourced from quality materials that appear to be durable. With its included internal diffuser cloth, the light was soft and nearly shadowless, perfect for the video and constant-light photography work that we do. Unlike some of the other reviewers, I found assembly and teardown to be quick and easy. Do be prepared to support this softbox externally, however. My Fiilex P360 light with speedring would not support it alone. I used a broomstick stretched between two tall lightstands through included sewn loops on the softboxs ribs and the lashup worked great. 60 is a good large size; you will want plenty of elbow room to work.

[Yes, Removable] i was looking at the Profoto modifiers (I use D1s) but wanted to give the 5' Impact octa a try. I am very pleased with it but it is slightly challenging to put together and even a bit more to take apart if you're alone. I suspect anything this size will be, no matter the brand. It was quick enough though, and feels solid. I haven't used it enough to discern any lighting quality difference with the Profoto ones, or Chimeras. The 5' is a good size, I imagine it won't be too much trouble to use in cramped spaces (I was looking at the 7' as well.) But for sure if money is important, this seems an excellent alternative, given that this softbox costs $200 AND COMES WITH A GRID where the Profoto equivalent will run you about $900 with the optional grid... a very good value to be sure.

[250 W] Arrived two days ago just in time for the job today. Retired my Chimeras after 30 years of rectangles and liking the round catch lights and even coverage. Tried the Glo bank, but did not like having to undo the diffuser velcro and snaps to assemble the locking system. Happy so far with the three Impacts I purchased.

[White] I wanted a small softbox for field use. Some friends have bought the Profoto one at almost 3 times the price of the Impact one. I had a bunch of speedrings but none for my alien bee so I bought a speedring insert at Amazon for alien bee's for $16. The AB speedring adapter fit the old speedring and the whole thing went together very easily. This softbox is very high quality and in my opinion much better than the Profoto. I love it. Came with a nice carry case an extra rod and instructions.

[Fabric] I’m using this softbox primarily as a backlight on the subject on a green screen as it will reduce “green spill” coming from the green screen. Since the inside is white, it will allow a more pleasing and even softer light, almost like a glow effect instead of a harsh silver finish. Each finish is good for different purposes. A silver finish will allow a punchier light output and more powerful, without having to crank up your light to 100% at times.

Very pleased with this softbox. It’s the right size for what I’m using it for and it’s very easy to setup. The rods do NOT come off easily and stay there, if you know how to use a speed ring properly.

[White] I have had this softbox for over a month now. I am very pleased with it. This was the first softbox I'd bought myself - everything else I've ever had was inherited from other photographers. Came with the grid. Great white light. I've struggled in the past due to my other lights being too warm for my liking. This paired with my newer lights is great. Definitely recommend.

[White] I use this as a main light for my on location headshots, creates a very nice catch light in the eyes!
It's not super fast to set up but after doing it a few times Im getting faster.

[Yes] This little Octa is perfect for portraits and can easily be used in place of a beauty dish to achieve similar results, especially when used with the optional grid. The light is beautiful and soft and I found it useful as a main light or as a gridded directional kicker. The octa is small, light and compact, making it super easy to use in the studio or on location.
