[1.2 lb] The speed ring is great. I use it for the white lightning 1600s, and there really snug. I just for an Einstein, and the locking levers dont quite lock all the way. 5

[Aluminum] I bought this speed ring to use with the now discontinued Westcott Strip Softbox (12"x36"). The speed ring works perfectly with this Westcott Strip Softbox. While it's true the locking levers won't lock all the way with Einstein as stated in an other review, the locking is still very strong. I couldn't find a way to unlock it by shaking, twisting or levering the softbox or flash unit. I wouldn't worry about it if you are still on the fence to buy that speed ring. 5
