Offering a bright white finish on a poly-cotton material, this 17" x 5' roll of Hahnemuhle Daguerre Canvas 17" x 5' Rollfrom Hahnemuhle will help you create vivid, archival prints on a unique matte surface. It features a hefty basis weight of 400 gsm, a thickness of 22 mil, an opacity of 98%, and a whiteness of 101%. Also, it is instant drying and water resistant and uses a moderate amount of OBA content to achieve a bright white point. Additionally, the matte canvas is acid free for archival-grade prints. It comes on a 2" core.

A: The Epson Glossy Exhibition Canvas Archival Inkjet Paper ill fit in a Canon Pro4000 printer but there are no ICC profiles available. You can either use a similar Canon profile or create your own custom paper profile.

Q: 2. Has anyone used this paper with the Epson P800? I'm looking for canvas sheets rather than a roll (haven't purchased the roll adaptor yet).

A: I have used this paper and the end result was beautiful. It has to be loaded from the back feeder and took several tried to get it to go, but eventually I got it. Hope that helps. :)

A: Great canvas. Make sure to download the Paper profile from Epson for your printer. Then load the profile. Print a test strip. Then print your photos. Make sure to also use a special top coat on the canvas for protection. B&H has the top coat that you can purchase. Also very important, read the instructions sheet that comes with the canvas.

A: Yes, the Epson Exhibition Canvas Satin Archival Inkjet Paper (24" x 40' Roll) BH #EPECS2440 is compatible with the Canon IPF 8400.

Q: 6. So, gloss canvas still has to be coated?

A: Coating a printed image is never required. It is optional but highly recommended for added protection.

Q: 7. Can I use photo black ink with epson canvas matte?

A: I ONLY use photo black on my 9800, and it looks great on the Epson matte canvas. Run some small proofs before doing anything large, just to dial in your image on the substrate. The canvas is just a little lightweight, but almost everything looks good on it.

Q: 8. Will this feed into a SureColor P900 using the roll adapter? I've heard few papers actually work well in the adapter.

[Canvas] I have over a dozen years printing on paper, but this was the first time I printed canvas in-house and it was a great experience. The Daguerre Canvas looks great, especially after varnishing with Premier Eco Print Shield. Stretched without cracking or any other issues. The only issue I had was that Daguerre Canvas ships on a 2 core, so you'll need to switch from the more typical 3 core. 5

[3 lb] I like this canvas a lot, having tried samples of others by Epson and Hahnemuhle. This one is my favorite, for weight and the bright white color. I printed using my Epson 3880 and after only a couple of alignment issues, had no trouble printing using the rear manual feeder. Very easy. Only trouble I ran into was my first print was not printing in the right spot, and I needed to change the custom paper setting in the driver from 35x17 to 17x35. That fixed the problem. 5

[400 gsm] The canvas has the ability to resolve detail extremely well and the whites are pure. Used with the satin varnish I am very pleased with the end result. The canvas is easy to stretch and gallery wrap. 5

[Matte] I had been using Museo Artist Canvas to print Canvas Prints but after waiting and waiting for 3 weeks + for Museo to send me my canvas, I went back the BH Photo and asked if I could switch to the Hahnemuhle canvas so that I could move forward with my work. It arrived the next day, I popped it in my Canon ipf6400 and poof beautiful prints just glide out. It is every bit as lovely if not nicer quality as Museo and it is in stock ready to ship. So now I've switched... Hahnemuhle has won a new customer. 5

[98%] A truly bright white, heavy canvas with Matte finish--I've used a lot of canvas and this one is at the top of the list when you need bright white and there are many more applications for it than one might think. If you have not printed on bright white canvas, this is the one to try. True color reproduction and with a Hahn matte or satin varnish on it...stunning. 5
