The 5-stop, 6.6 x 6.6" Tiffen Hard-Edge Graduated ND Filter 6.6x6.6 5-Stopis a graduated neutral density filter that helps to specifically darken skies and other bright areas of the image. The filter is densest at the edge and tapers to clear by the middle, with a hard-edged line of transition between the density and clear areas. Neutral density filters do not affect the coloration of the image and the 1.5 density provides a 5 stop reduction in light from entering the lens.

This filter is made using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass and grinding flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch. This filter measures 6.6 x 6.6" / 167.6 x 167.6mm.

A: No, each of these products do the same exact thing, so it's one or the other that would be used as a power source.

Q: 9. Will it work with Sony A7s?

A: While this battery can be charged through the D-Tap port, we do not believe it can be charged while powering the camera.

[Glass] I bought this product for taking pictures of the Grand Canyon. There is marked difference between the canyon exposure and the sky. The sky is much brighter than the canyon landscape. Also there is very define edge between the top of the canyon and the sky. This will prevent over-exposing the sky and keeping a very good balance between the two, the top 1/3 of the image and the bottom 2/3rds. This does it job and saves post editing work 5

[Glass] This is a big, heavy, tough filter. I think this will be the last ND filter I will ever buy. Kinda surprised how thick 4mm is. Wouldn't shock me if it was bullet proof. Glad I went with the glass filter, I had plastic filters ,they are cheap, but scratches too easily. 5

[Glass] It's a great way to get pro images with a camera that's smaller than a pro lens and costs less than a pro video cam battery. I've used the 4x4 version with my pro cine & video cameras so I had to get one for my handi-cam camcorder. My only caution is to keep it squeaky clean! With a wide-angle lens, every spec of dust on the filter is a HUGE sploch in the image. 5

[Glass] Obviously, there are drawbacks for round, screw-in GND filters vs. square, sliding mount filters, but if you want something small and compact for travel, then this is it. The area of transition is fairly sharp (hard), which I actually like - some filters are too soft for the gradient to really be evident. 5
