The Manfrotto 290 Aluminum Tripod with 3-Way Pan/Tilt Headfeatures a 90° center column for shooting tabletop, low-angle, or macro photography. It extends from just 2.2" above the ground to 69" high and supports up to 22 lb.

The three-section legs have tension-adjustable flip locks to individually adjust each leg's height. Four locking leg angles enable you to place the tripod in a variety of positions. A rubber grip on one of the legs aids in carrying the tripod, and rubber feet keep it stable on slippery surfaces.

The included 804 three-way pan/tilt head features retractable handles, so the overall size is decreased when it's not in use. A built-in spring assists with the tilting motion of the head by compensating for heavier lenses and cameras with off-center loads. A 200LT-PL quick release plate is included for quickly attaching and removing your camera from the head.

[Flip Lock] I purchased this versatile tripod specifically for use in capturing my macro subjects in the wild. This tripod is by far the easiest of my Manfrotto Tripods to use, and the lightest which will be necessary trekking any distance through the forested areas in Missouri. [6.8 lb] I really need to ask myself why I would bother buying a tripod from any manufacturer other than Manfrotto. The quality is top notch. Just holding it and testing out the adjustments you know you are holding something that is well built, is going to last for many years and not let you down. I love that the column on this tripod does the 90 trick. 5

[Flip Lock] When I purchased this tripod I thought I got a good deal. Little did I know that it would be a GREAT deal! Everything works as it's supposed to and surprises me each day I shoot with how strong and durable it is. All the equipment that I throw at the tripod it is always able to handle it. And lucky for me the tripod is always the perfect height for my eyes whenever the legs are fully extended. I would highly recommend this tripod to any beginner or ameteur photographer. 5

[Pan & Tilt Head] Very pleased with this Tripod.... I am a professional photographer and have a heavy Gitzo that I use for work but this is much lighter and works extremely well and am very happy with it especially since I got it on sale for Holidays... at a price I think it is worth.... 5
