Set up safely and securely with Prompter People's StagePro 17" Presidential Teleprompter. Aluminum-built for high-strength and featuring a tool-less assembly design, this StagePro prompter can be set up and running within minutes, providing a 20 ft reading range on a 60/40 beamsplitter. The beamsplitter is made of low-iron glass that eliminates color shift and has anti-reflection coating that prevents glass reflections. It measures 14 x 12" and has beveled edges for safety.

The 17" monitor is self-reversing, meaning that it automatically reverses the backwards-projected text on the beamsplitter glass, without the need for additional software. It has HDMI, VGA, and Composite RCA inputs. An AC adapter is included for continuous power, and you can alternatively use an optional ION Photogenic battery, which is supported without any battery mount. Prompter People's Flip-Q Pro software (Mac/Win) is included on a USB security dongle that will allow you to switch between computers without having to register each time, and it can also be downloaded for free on your main computer.

A: According to Prompter People, this product is universal and will work in New Zealand.

Q: 4. Can I use this in the studio and shoot the camera through it without any glare or reflection into the lens? Or is this only for live / stage use?

A: While it may be possible, that would not be recommended. There is no hood as you would find on camera teleprompter system to avoid any glare issues. This is designed for a different purpose.

Q: 5. Can I rig this prompter on a hard body camera?

A: We use the 24 version with various cameras - Panasonic full size eng cameras to 5Ds, it's all about balancing the camera with the hardware on the tripod. The prompter hardware has a mounting bracket with adjustments for horizontal and vertical adjustments of your camera. I think for a large hard studio camera system you might just want to double check on the weight capacity with Prompter People. They have been very prompt (no pun intended) on any questions asked.

A: Besides the difference in cost, with two prompters the speaker can look two ways to the audience in a more natural way and without interruption. With only one prompter, the speaker is pretty much restricted to only one eye direction. That is why the President always has two. It looks better that way.

A: The included remote with this unit supports the Prompter People iCUE prompting app.

[35.5 lb] This prompter was easy to set up and use with my Panasonic HVX-200 and Ipad 2. All I needed was a flathead screwdriver to adjust the mounting plates and balance the rig on my tripod. I used it 2 days in a row. I figure that this prompter minus the ipad paid for itself in 2 days. I use to rent a prompter with an operator for $400-$550 a day. The next step for me is to buy a Thermodyne or Pelican case to store the prompter. It is well worth the money. 5

[36 x 26.5 x 21"] Rush ordered these a couple of week ago for a conference we were having and it arrived in good time. I was so happy with the fact that the were already assembled, I already had too much on my plate without having to try to figure out how to put them together. We used them for 6 different speakers at the conference and never had any complaints. It was easy enough to adjust to each speaker and helped make everything look very professional to our audience. They were light enough that would were able to transport it from room to room without any issue. Great quality, would recommend. 5

[35.5 lb] I'm using this teleprompter in my small home studio. This is the only teleprompter I've ever used so I might be speaking out of ignorance but I can tell you it's awesome. Talk about putting the fun back into long winded spiels. The set-up was about 15 minutes from being in the box to using it. I shoot with an EX1R and the included 'universal sizing' bracket fit great. The iPad app is very intuitive and very reasonably priced. No complaints. I would certainly recommend this product. 5
