Identical to those supplied with their Advanced Polaris mounts, the Vixen Optics Slow Motion Knob for AP GP2 GPD2 Mountscan be used to replace a lost or broken knob or saved as a spare and used on the GP2 and GPD2 mounts as well as the AP. The knob is used with the manual slow motion control module and fits both the Right Ascension and Declination axes.

A: No, you would not. The Wimberley P50 Quick Release Plate is a lens plate that is designed to be connected to the bottom of the standard foot included by Nikon for tripod head usage with Arca-compatible tripod heads. The Wimberley AP-555 Replacement Foot for Select Nikon Telephoto Lenses is a replacement foot and has the Arca-compatible channel built into the foot. As such, no extra lens plate is needed if you are using the replacement foot.

A: For the Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 600mm f/4G ED VR Lens you need the Wimberley Replacement Foot for Nikon 400mm f2.8 and 600mm f/4.0 AF-S B&H # WIFN400. It will work with most Really Right Stuff clamps and ballheads.(The exception would be the RRS lever-release clamp.)

[3.7 x 2 x 1.8"] As the others said, don't forget to buy the TeleVue 2 to SCT adapter to go with this, unscrew the back tube and use the T-mount adapter direct. You might also want (as I bought) some parfocal rings for the eyepieces (not available at B&H but maybe they will add them) My setup is complete, this easily flips between perfectly focused eyepiece and perfectly focused SLR. Can't wait to drive out to the star park! 5

Thanks to fellow reviewer, I was able to get all the accessories at the same time as the mirror. [0.6 oz / 18.0 g] A simple solution to a simple problem. The original slow motion handles were hard to reach because they were short. The longer handles make it much easier to move the telescope tube in slow motion. Actually, should be original equipment on the telescope. I will say that the Vixen telescope is a very good piece of equipment. 5
