Attach your camera onto the Vixen Optics Dovetail Slide Bar PG for Telescopesusing one of the three 1/4"-20 bolts, then mount the bar on a compatible 44mm Vixen-style saddle. This bar was primarily designed for use with the Advanced Polaris Photo Guider and AP Star Tracker, but will fit other mounts and saddles. An elongated hole in the center of the bar allows the camera to be balanced around the optional polar alignment scope.

A: The Leofoto PG-1 Gimbal Head does not shift when tightening the knobs.

Q: 8. Can this be used with other Brand’s tripod ( manfrotto, Sirui )?.. do we need special adapter?

A: Yes, this may be used with other brands' tripods. :) No, you won't need an adapter. Most tripods use a 3/8"-16 mounting screw.

Q: 9. Are these with 6mm or 8mm couplings, or neither?

A: The Vixen Optics Slow Motion Control Knob for AP, GP2, and GPD2 Mounts is a replacement knob for those mounts. The knobs mount on a shaft that is roughly 6mm in diameter.

Q: 10. What is the back focus distance of this reducer?

A: With the focal reducer, it is 63.5mm.

[6 x 6 x 2"] This plate REALLY IDEAL match with my Vixen Porta II mount and make possible mounting my OTA Sky Watcher 4.5' Neutonian. Together with Vixen Red Point Finder and Vixen Eyepieces it makes perfect system for visual observation - very simple, convenient, stable. In fact, I purchased completely new telescope for just$! 5

[6 x 6 x 2"] With a slot plus several holes, you can probably attach most scopes/mounting rings. Some of the holes are threaded 1/4-20 and those can be useful for attaching to a mount that isn't a Vixen dovetail. I used it to attach a Sky-Watcher Startravel 120 to an old Televue Panoramic mount as well as to a dovetail. 5
