Made from figured parts of the Walnut tree, which adds a subtle shimmer. It is a beautiful wood that is dense and finishes well. Featuring a large, 14mm size, the shutter release button attaches to your camera via a threaded screw, tapered to fit most cameras, and comes with two small anti-slip O-rings, which use friction to prevent the button from loosening.

Additionally, the wood button heightens the shutter release to help stabilize your hand, enabling you to capture clear images at slower speeds. To prolong the life of your camera, the universal hot shoe protects the exposed contacts at the top of most cameras by preventing misfiring or corrosion.

[0.15 lb] Perfect fit for Leica Q2. Not too tight, but won’t fall out. A little pricey @ $40, but a huge improvement on the plastic version that comes with a new camera. 5

[Threaded Screw] Shame on Leica for not including this hotshoe cover with the expensive camera body. I believe it's not just a nice to have, even if it does give the camera a more polished, sleek appearance. I think it's key to have to keep the sensitive contacts on the hotshoe protected from dirt, liquid, damage, etc. It may be the least expensive Leica accessory that I own! I highly recommend it. 5

[Threaded Screw] This is a little detail item, but if you're a fan of pentax like I am it's a pretty nice item. Most people would think this is a waste of money, but I'm trying to be a minimalist and so I have spent money on these kinds of detail items to more appreciate the camera that I have (Pentax k-3 iii) instead of more gear/G.A.S. As for the item itself, it is beautiful and well made. It makes your camera feel that much more professional and premium. 5
