Q: 1. Is it this softbox too heavy to use over the camera with out a stand ?

A: Heavy is not an issue. It is too large to be used on an on-camera flash. This box is ideal for taking photos of close objects on an off-camera flash such as flowers and insects. It significantly reduces the shadows created by only the flash by increasing the angle of incident light on the subject. For an on-camera flash you might consider compromising the effectiveness with a smaller softbox. Not because of weight, but size.

A: On the ikan PT1200 Teleprompter Travel Kit with Rolling Hard Case, the angle of the beam splitter can be adjusted based on the needs of the operator and reader.

Q: 4. Does this Prompter work with a Sony PDW-150?

A: Yes, the PT1200 Teleprompter works with the Sony PXW-150.

Q: 5. Does this come with a power supply? I don't see it being listed in the description.

A: An AC power supply is included with this unit.

Q: 6. Will this prompter work well with a Canon C100? It looks about the right size.

A: Yes, thats what Camera I use.Its a nice prompter.

Q: 7. I shot with a DSLR, what size do I get?

A: I am happy with my medium sized soft box - especially for portraits and people pictures. The larger size will provide the best diffusion and softest light. As a serious amateur, I purchased the medium size as a good balance between performance and ease of use.

Q: 8. what does the software come on?

A: The software comes on a CD.

Q: 9. What is the brightness of this monitor? How many nits?

A: The brightness, according to ikan's website, is 350 cd/m2.

Q: 10. If I want to use it outside, where I have no AC-Power. Is there any option to run it by a battery?

A: While Ikan does not make a cable that allows this Teleprompter to be powered by more traditional Video Production batteries, we do have some options for battery packs with an AC power connection that you could look into. The GOAL ZERO Yeti 150 Solar Generator Power Pack would be a good place to start.

[Aluminum] I just installed 2 of these in one of the kids rooms at our church. They are solid and reliable and work exactly like they should. I do wish they came with bulbs but that's not a huge deal to me. 5

[Stage Pin] It's pretty obvious that and ETC Source Four is the best type of leko out there. Well built and overall a good product. The Jr. is great to fit in the small space I had to install these in. 5

[12 x Stage Pin] Works flawlessly - the focus is sharp, the flags cut the light just as needed, it's built very solidly, and it puts out a ton of light with just a 575w bulb. Worth every penny. We are a mobile church and we used just four of these as the backbone of our lighting setup for Sundays, and needed the lighter weight. As far as output, we don't have to put them up above half to get the light we need. Concerning control, we are able to keep the light extremely controlled, specifically keeping it off the projection screen, which is right above the singers heads. Because of this, we were able to maximize our projector's output lumens and not have to overcompensate with it, or compromise on scene brightness. We couldn't be happier with the purchase. 5

[Aluminum] Pop it in the gel frame holder at the front of the light. You'll still be able to use a gel frame in the space behind or in front, or a top hat in front of it (the donut and top hat together really clear up the image), though you can't have all three at once - there's only two slots in the mini's frame holder. 5
