Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. What is the maximum cable length for this remote?

A: The controller is powered from the connected camcorder via thi included 5 m (15 ft.) cable.

Q: 2. will this work with the Canon C700?

A: We have not seen any information that this control unit will work with the C700. At this time only the Canon OU-700 Remote Operation Unit is expected to operate in that manner.

Q: 3. Does this come with the power cable?

A: Yes, the Teradek MDR.S Compact 3-Channel Lens Control Receiver with Bluetooth (B&H# TERTMDRSLCRB) includes the Teradek RT Power 3-Pin D-Tap (also called P-Tap) Cable. That has a D-tap (compatible with P-tap) male connector on one end and a male 3-pin connector on the other for power.

Q: 4. Does this support tof.1?

A: It does not. You will need to use the MDR.X.

Q: 5. Dose it work with the c200

A: Yes, the Canon RC-V100 Remote Controller works with the Canon C200.

Q: 6. does this work with the canon c300 mark ii?

A: Yes, this should work well with the C300 Mark II.

Q: 7. Will this receiver work with a Pocketwizard transmitter?

A: No it does not, it works well with the RT-16 transmitter.

Q: 8. Does this work with a Y motor cable from previous generation MDRs from Teradek RT so that two 3.1 motors can be used?

A: No, the Teradek MDR.S Compact 3-Channel Lens Control Receiver with Bluetooth will not work with a Y motor cable from the previous MDR.

Q: 9. is there anyway to split the lanc at camera to use a local rocker zoom and the studio remote at the same time?

A: I am afraid that we do not have LANC splitters available. However it would be very easy to simply plug in the proper cable for the controller you wanted to use at that time. We offer LANC extension cables up to 100 feet, so just as long as you labeled which cable was which it would not be difficult to swap out controllers.

Q: 10. Is there any way to transmit the remote signal wirelessly?

A: There is no known way to work this remote wirelessly.

[16] This receiver is what all radio trigger receivers should be. It uses the battery power of the flash. Thus, if you have power for your flash, you have power for the receiver. Super reliable. I have never had a misfire with this receiver. Better than all my Pocket Wizards.

[433 MHz] Simple to use. Works with the set I already bought. No complaints here

[16] Compared to other wireless trigger systems, this is a deal. Obviously this system is built specifically for Angler/Impact lights, but for the money you get tons of flexibility. Remember to buy the receivers as they dont come with your monos or with this transmitter, but at $24 each, its not a deal killer to buy a few of them for your lighting setup.

[16] This transmitter (used with the USB receiver) is a simple trigger and remote control system. What I like about this system is that every time I press the shutter button on my camera, it triggers and I never get a misfire. That may sound silly but many systems have misfires or odd behaviors. I haven't experienced any of that when using this system with the Angler Q400 monolight. Operating the remote is easy and straight forward, giving me 1/3 stop control of my bare bulb flashes and 1/10 stop control over monolights. Perfect.

[1/250 Sec] I've already posted my review of the RC-16-T transmitter, and this receiver completes the system. Plug this little unit into the USB port on a compatible flash or strobe, set the channel and group and that's it. It just works.

[433 MHz] Just ran these through a test in my studio and they worked perfectly. No setup or format was necessary. Just plug these receivers into your lights, attached the transmitter to your hotshoe and begin shooting. Lights fire flawlessly every time! If you have a set of these lights, Id really recommend spending the few bucks it takes to get these receivers and a transmitter. Itll make the time spent in studio or on location much more enjoyable. Youll be able to focus on your subject instead of focusing on light adjustment because each light can be assigned to a different group. This allows you to control the output from the transmitter - no more running around from light to light to adjust settings!

[16] This receiver when used with The RT-16 transmitter seems to work really well. It's very small, about the size of a USB thumb drive. Not complicated at all, just plug it into the flash and make sure your chanels are correct. My only complaint is it kind of flops down as it sits in the slot, looks kinda sloppy, but doesn't affect use at all.
