The Angler RC-16-T Transmitter for Remote Controlprovides photographers with a wireless solution for triggering their select flash head at distances up to 150'. The RC-16-T is compatible with Angler Q-400 Monolight. The 16-channel, 16-group transmitter has a built-in antenna and hot shoe and uses a separately purchased 16-channel, 16-group receiver that is powered by its host flash without using batteries.

Operating on the 433 MHz frequency, the RC-16-T transmitter can raise and lower the power of the slave flash in 1/10 or 1/3 stop increments as well as turn modeling lights and audio alerts on and off. It's also capable of turning the AF assist on or off on flash units that have this feature. The RC-16-T transmitter runs on 2 AA batteries and is intended for use with the RC-16-R receiver. Besides triggering your flash from up to 150' away, the RC-16-T transmitter can be used as a handheld remote controller to adjust the settings on all your compatible flash units that are connected to a RC-16-R receiver, even if you use a different device or method to trigger them.

Q: 1. What about 5Dsr is that work with it?

A: Depends on if you will need the extra resolution, for printing or something like that.

Q: 2. Does this work with canon rebel t5i?

A: Yes, it does

Q: 3. does this remote work on a EOS canon 5DS ?

A: The RC-6 is compatible with the Canon 5DS, yes.

Q: 4. will this work with canon rebel T100/EOS 300D?

A: No, this is not compatible with the 300D.

Q: 5. Will this hold the shutter open for a night shot?

A: This remote will allow for bulb shooting, typically up to 30 seconds and possibly 60 seconds if your camera has a fireworks shooting mode.

Q: 6. I have the Canon Rebel T3 Camera. i recently ordered the RC-6 wireless remote for my camera. Is there a wireless remote setting on the Rebel T3 camera? I can not find that setting anywjere on my camera.

A: Unfortunately, the Canon EOS Digital Rebel T3 DSLR camera does not have an infrared receiver built into the camera, and it is not compatible for use with the Canon RC-6 Wireless Remote Control. The only remotes that are compatible with the Canon EOS T3 would be ones that plug into the 2.5mm sub-miniphone remote terminal on the left-hand side of the camera, such as the Canon RS-60E3 Remote Switch, B&H # CARS60E3. If you are looking for a wireless remote that would be compatible for use with your camera, I would instead recommend the Vello FreeWave Wireless Remote Shutter Release (Canon Sub-Mini Connection), B&H # VERWC1, which uses the 2.5mm sub-miniphone remote terminal.

Q: 7. Does this remote do time lapse as well?

A: No. This is a single shot shutter release only.

Q: 8. Will this work with canon 5d mark III?

A: Yes, the Canon RC-6 Wireless Remote Control is fully compatible for use with the Canon EOS 5D Mark III DSLR Camera.

Q: 9. does it work with 5d mark4?

A: Yes this is compatible with the Canon 5D Mark IV.

Q: 10. I have the T6i. How do I set this up so that it takes the photo after 5 secs, or can it only do 2sec? I have the camera set at 5 sec, but it still takes the photo asap so I don't have time to put my arm down for self portraits Thanks!

A: Unfortunately this is limited to 2 second delay or immediate shooting. The other option is to go with a wireless radio system like the Vello FreeWave Wireless Remote Shutter Release linked here. https://bhpho.to/3o4aG14. The benefit of this is it does not need to be in line of site. Or you can go with the Vello Wireless ShutterBoss III linked here. https://bhpho.to/3f3ghki. This allows you to set any duration delay timer you wish.

[Hot Foot] Works terrific as billed! And what l like about Canon's planning, it works on all the different models that I own. Now that's a real conservation effort from a company.

[2x AA] Compared to other wireless trigger systems, this is a deal. Obviously this system is built specifically for Angler/Impact lights, but for the money you get tons of flexibility. Remember to buy the receivers as they dont come with your monos or with this transmitter, but at $24 each, its not a deal killer to buy a few of them for your lighting setup.

[2x AA] I've already posted my review of the RC-16-T transmitter, and this receiver completes the system. Plug this little unit into the USB port on a compatible flash or strobe, set the channel and group and that's it. It just works.

[16] I got 2 universal remotes and neither of them worked beyond 10 ft and even at that range they worked about 50% of the time!! This one works EVERY time at that distance!

[Hot Foot] This is what I have needed for many years. It works great. Simple to operate and set up my Canon camera to allow it to operate. No more setting the timer and running into group shots. That really messed with my dog, who would watch me and not look at the camera. The unit is very reasonably priced too.
