This Manfrotto MK190X3-3W1 Tripod with 804 MK II Pan/Tilt Headfrom Manfrotto MK190X3-3W1 Tripod with 804 MK II Pan/Tilt Headhas a load capacity of 22 lb and can be attached to tripods or other support systems that feature a 3/8"-16 mount. It includes an integrated RC2 quick release cam lock and a 200LT-PL Quick Release Plate. RC2 compatible quick release plates such as the 200LT-PL can be removed from the head by pulling the cam lock's spring-loaded lever, which also allows the plate to be quickly reattached. The cam lock also features a safety catch to prevent the 200LT-PL, or another compatible quick release plate from accidentally disconnecting.

Cameras, sport optics, or camcorders that are compatible with a 1/4"-20 mount can be connected to the quick release plate before securing it to the pan-and-tilt head. The head can be rotated 360°, tilted 90° forwards or 30° backwards, as well as 90° sideways for portrait orientation. Each of these three movements function independently of each other, have dedicated control handles, and can be locked into place. In addition to integrating the ability to individually lock the movements by twisting each corresponding handle's rubberized grip, the telescoping control handles for both tilt functions can also be retracted while the head is not in use for more convenient storage or transport.

To promote fast, repeatable, and accurate device positioning, this MH804 3-Way, Pan-and-Tilt Head also includes dedicated angle scales for each movement that are designed for easy visibility. For heavier loads, built-in counterbalance springs help ensure smooth as well as gradual backwards and forwards tilt movements.

Q: 4. I have a PTR-10T Mk II, but am missing the 12V 5A power adapter. How can I purchase one?

A: While the manufacturer does not provide the adapter for sale separately, there are two ways to power the Datavideo PTR-10T Mark II Robotic Pan and Tilt Head (HDBaseT) (B&H# DAPTR10TMKII). The unit will accept a 12VDC barrel input of 3A, although 5A will be needed if power will be drawn from the D-Tap port on the head for the purpose of powering a camera. You may wish to contact the manufacturer regarding their preferred model of adapter: sales@datavideo.com Alternatively, the head will accept Power Over Ethernet (PoE) with the power being fed through the LAN port by a source of PoE such as the TP-Link TL-POE170S PoE++ Injector (Black) (B&H# TPTLPOE170S): https://bhpho.to/3POMj5c

Q: 5. Is there a motorized slider this unit is compatible with?

There are 50 PAN/TILT preset positions and you will be able to adjust the pan and tilt acceleration, speed, and torque. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/lit_files/640738.pdf

[Pan & Tilt Head] This tripod is incredibly sturdy. I wanted a tripod that wasn't heavy but had some heft to it. This is such a great balance between the two. The tilting head is super great. I shoot 4x5 so this works perfect !

[-90° to +30°] I've been using a ball-head tripod for the past few years, but finally made the switch to the 3-way head. Amazing control, couldn't be happier. Tripod isn't light, but incredibly sturdy.

[-90° to +30°] I am using two of these and may purchase another one. I prefer the PTR-10 Mk II model over the PTR-10T Mk II as the control commands can be sent through a network switch using the DVIP protocol. I control it with an RMC-300A. I also control several Canon XF-400s over the same network. The unit works very well and also provides power for the camera. To access the DVIP controls with a PTR-10T Mk II requires the addition of the HBT-12 receiver.

[Yes] This is my first Manfrotto product. It was recommended by a friend and that was good advice. I have only used it once but it has already outperformed all other tripods I have ever owned. It is also the most expensive tripod I have ever owned but you get what you pay for. I am using this for astro-photography as well as other uses and quickly found that the head included with this combo deal does not look up very far but it will look straight down. The solution is to mount the camera so that the handle that controls vertical motion is pointed forward. The result is the the camera cannot look down very far but can look up as far as it needs to. That arrangement takes a little getting used to but it works. As to the tripod, it is very versatile and very sturdy. It can be configured in ways that baffle the imagination. A note here - it includes a tool the clips to one of the legs. The tool has eyelets to tie it to the tripod but it is not tied. Mine has already fallen off once. I found it and reclipped it. Don't loose it or you will be looking for a nut driver if you need to adjust the leg clamps. Well done Manfrotto and B&H. I'm happy with this purchase and it is worth every penny.

[2.205 lb] I have a ton of tripods, but never sprung for a big-boy one, until now. What a difference it makes, having a solid, steady, rugged tripod - especially when shooting real estate photos to do comps that have to line up.

One oddity is that, the way the leg clamps look is not how they work. It's like they were made for left-handed people. Taking some getting used to.

The 90 degree boom arm on it, though, is killer. I had a shoot where I was trying to line up a chandelier with a window behind it. Without shooting handheld, it was impossible to get the shot without using the boom. It was awesome. I got it right where I needed it and it supported my EOS 5D Mk IV that also was mounted in a metal cage, had a flash on it, a light on it, and Pocket Wizard remote - so, not a light load.

Adjustment knows work really well, too. You can change the tension on them to suit your needs. Love this thing.
