Made from Gaboon Ebony, a wood that is usually jet-black but occasionally may have dark brown or grayish-brown streaks, with little to no variation or visible grain. Featuring a small, 11mm size, the shutter release button attaches to your camera via a threaded screw, tapered to fit most cameras, and comes with two small anti-slip O-rings, which use friction to prevent the button from loosening.

Additionally, the wood button heightens the shutter release to help stabilize your hand, enabling you to capture clear images at slower speeds. To prolong the life of your camera, the universal hot shoe protects the exposed contacts at the top of most cameras by preventing misfiring or corrosion.

[Threaded Screw] Shame on Leica for not including this hotshoe cover with the expensive camera body. I believe it's not just a nice to have, even if it does give the camera a more polished, sleek appearance. I think it's key to have to keep the sensitive contacts on the hotshoe protected from dirt, liquid, damage, etc. It may be the least expensive Leica accessory that I own! I highly recommend it. 5
