The AMT P800BM Trumpet Microphone Systemfrom AMT P800BM Trumpet Microphone Systemis a bell mounted, high SPL clip-on microphone that features a cardioid microphone element attached to a flexible gooseneck. You can clip this mic onto the bell or on the handle of the trumpet. It is suitable for soloist or lead players who need bell mounted solution.

For creating a belt-pack free wireless system, the P800BM Trumpet Microphone System features DCT (Disconnect Cable Technology). It allows you to connect your trumpet mic to the Q7 or Wi5IIC systems.

Q: 1. How does the arm mount to your desk? I don't see any clamp mechanism typical of these arms.

A: This is meant to be a surface or wall mount. The base has four holes for screws so you can attach it to a wall, a ceiling, or a window sill.

Q: 2. For me it is imperative that I can use this device with an iPhone 6 or an iPad. Is it compatible?

A: At this time I have been unable to connect the bluetooth mic directly with a PC or tablet. The only way to connect it that I know of is the analogue mic input on the tablet.

Q: 3. I have asked everywhere to find out how to use the lower swivel to extend the arm and not a single person has been able to answer that question. I can extend the top arm but cannot turn the lower swivel to extend the arm. Anyone able to help here?

Q: 5. XLR (or 1/4") out to USB, for use with Zoom? We're holding meetings that are up to 20 people, hybrid onsite/offsite using Zoom. We used a single omnidirectional mic that was abysmal, the participants at home could hear almost nothing. If I took the XLR out of this, adapted it to USB on the laptop, does anyone know if this would be recognized as a single mic input that would then be broadcast?

Q: 10. Can I use 2 sets of Sony ECM AW4 concurrently in a 2 persons interview?

A: Yes, the mic sets seem to come with their own BT built in pairing codes. No seeing required. I have used 2 sets of these mics in close proximity, (interview style) and they stay on their own separate channel.

[Cardioid] With a generous 45-inch reach and multiple tension adjustability, this armature certainly works for me. This replaces my OC White black and gold Elite, which is very good in itself. Unfortunately, the 29-inch reach was a bit too restricting for my taste. Each arm of the boom has three positions for spring tension. The lower arm is factory set at the lowest tension mark whereas the upper extension is preset to the middle mark. With the Electro-Voice RE20 with accompanying shock mount, the factory settings are perfect. Since I really liked the 15-inch riser from my previous O.C. White arm, I ordered that item as an accessory. At the time of this review B&H doesn't offer this item (SKU# 14250-B). It provides excellent clearance over my other desk items while keeping the apex of the armature joint well above my 27-inch display. BTW: The B&H photo is inaccurate in that it shows a base (table) mount. This item comes just as a boom arm with no mount, so you will have to order the mount of your choice. Anyway, I highly recommended this armature for the quality-geek, or discriminating user. 5

[12 to 52 VDC] Bought this to add a third Mike to my existing two Mike setup. The setup included 3 transmitters, two lavaliers and one hand held, but only 2 receivers. This, along with a simple 3 input mixer, allowed for simultaneous use of all three microphones. 5

[140 dB] This arm system has made all the difference for me. Used to get tangled in wires and trip over mic stands. Not anymore. I can position my Neumann TLM-103 exactly where I want it and it stays right there. I highly recommend this mic arm. Its rock solid. 5

[12 to 52 VDC] This is a well built arm that should last for decades. It is quiet and introduces no obvious noise when it is moved. The mic cable secures nicely in the channel with the included plastic covers. This is just the arm--there are several different mounts available for desk mounting, clamping, etc., and the arm requires one of these. 5

[Condenser] This is an outstanding microphone for micing a closed lid on a grand piano. While we don't need a microphone to enhance the sound in the church sanctuary it is needed to supply sound to monitors and the streaming signal. We have been using the M40 for several years and when the old one failed we immediately purchase a new one. 5

[30 Hz to 20 kHz] As a professional voice artist (voiceoversbydan on the Web), I use two of the best mics in the world, the Neumann U-86 and Sennheiser MKH 416. But having them sit on mic table stands was cumbersome at best.Moved up to a pair of O.C. White extended length mic arms (45) and a triple-mount riser. Excellent solution. Spoke not only with B&H but also with the manufacturer, who was extremely responsive and helpful.I don't grade anything lightly. AAA to the O.C. White gear for design, build quality, and amazing customer service. 5

[Condenser] We use this mic inside our grand piano with the cover closed. Set up is so easy - we can leave it inside and just attach the XLR cable to the external box, mounted on the dolly. And the sound is excellent - much better than the mic on a boom with the cover partly open. Because the lid is closed, there is much less unwanted sound from the rest of the band. Overall, an excellent product. 5
