Made from Bloodwood, a hard wood with a red to crimson color that continues to grow darker and richer with age. This wood is also commonly referred to as cardinal wood, and features a tight straight interlocking grain. Featuring a small, 11mm size, the shutter release button attaches to your camera via a threaded screw, tapered to fit most cameras, and comes with two small anti-slip O-rings, which use friction to prevent the button from loosening.

Additionally, the wood button heightens the shutter release to help stabilize your hand, enabling you to capture clear images at slower speeds. To prolong the life of your camera, the universal hot shoe protects the exposed contacts at the top of most cameras by preventing misfiring or corrosion.

[Threaded Screw] Shame on Leica for not including this hotshoe cover with the expensive camera body. I believe it's not just a nice to have, even if it does give the camera a more polished, sleek appearance. I think it's key to have to keep the sensitive contacts on the hotshoe protected from dirt, liquid, damage, etc. It may be the least expensive Leica accessory that I own! I highly recommend it. 5

[Woodgrain] I purchased an Olympus PEN-F as a personal collector item. No I'm not a collector, but I wanted this camera because of its superb performance and vintage appeal in a modern digital camera. It is a silver trim body to which I added a silver Kit lens and a brown leather 1/2 case. It looks fantastic and since it was one of the few digital cameras offering an old fashioned screw type remote shutter release, I had to add the final touch. That showed up in the form of a beautiful, natural wood, Soft Shutter Release button. The PEN-F is now complete. TAH DAAH!! 5
