The AMT Ta6W Saxophone Mic for Sennheiser Wirelessis a multi-purpose microphone system for Soprano, Tenor, Alto, and Bari saxophones. The microphone can be used as a double microphone setup for soprano saxophone like the ta2, but can be reduced to a single microphone for tenor, alto, and bari saxophones. With an optional extension kit, the ta6 can also work with straight alto and straight tenor saxophones.

The Ta6W microphone comes with a cable for direct use with Sennheiser wireless systems via the 3.5mm connector.

You could use the XSW-D system if you use a separate phantom power supply such as the Xvive Audio P1 Portable Phantom Power Supply with Rechargeable Battery (B&H # XVP1) to power the mic and then add on the wireless transmitter. Or for a Sennheiser wireless system with a plug-on transmitter that can supply phantom power, you could use the Sennheiser EW 500 BOOM G4 Camera-Mount Wireless Plug-On Microphone System with No Mic - AW+: 470 to 558 MHz (B&H # SEEW500BG4AW), which is a much better wireless system that operates on the UHF frequency band. Q: 5. can i use the transmitter connected to a mixer with 3.5mm jack and receive audio into receiver then to dslr directly?

A: Yes you can. NOTE: The input on the transmitter is Mic Level, so make sure that the output on your mixer is set to Mic level otherwise your audio may clip or sound distorted.

Q: 6. Can the rechargeable battery be replaced by the user?

A: No it cannot. Now if your reason for wanting to do so is to make sure you always have enough battery for a long gig, you can use the charging port to power the system while in use, either through a power supply or through a power-bank which is commonly used for Cell phones and etc.

Q: 9. I see the box is phantom powered, but how does it pass 48v to condenser mics? If so, can 48v be turned off for use with dynamic mics?

A: This unit is made to power the Sennheiser MAS-1 button pecifically, to bring power to it and make it programmable for On, On/Off, PTT, and PTM modes. The phantom power from the mixer would go to the connected condenser microphone in the chain and if you are using a dynamic microphone it will not be affected by the condenser power in the line.

[3.5mm] Bought this mic to replace my aged Shure SM48s. It sounds better than the Shure, with more details in the mid and more open in the high. The switch is truly silent. Love it. Shure does a little better on handling noise isolation. 5

[150 ohms] Awesome product. super strong, sturdy, and sets up in seconds. Holds alto or tenor saxes securely. The brace that touches the lower part of the bell is adjustable up/down to accommodate alto/tenor and to enable you to avoid hitting any of the big tone holes on that part of the horn. Also accommodates a peg for a clarinet or flute (sold separately - or you can buy a different model that comes with the peg). 5

[50 Hz to 18 kHz] Using for events and weddings interviews.After intensive testing and using on job I can say it is very good quality recording in noise environment. You can record peoples without noise background. Lowe price should not misguide you. 5

[50 Hz to 18 kHz] We use this mic inside our grand piano with the cover closed. Set up is so easy - we can leave it inside and just attach the XLR cable to the external box, mounted on the dolly. And the sound is excellent - much better than the mic on a boom with the cover partly open. Because the lid is closed, there is much less unwanted sound from the rest of the band. Overall, an excellent product. 5

[Condenser] I use this microphone for live performance of clarinet + live electronics. Finally I am able to be mobile and compact on the stage, not using two separate microphones (with so many holes sound source is practically everywhere in this kind of instrument). I hope this solution will also help to avoid feedback problems. Sound quality is great, but I am not expecting it to be 100% natural, since the lower microphone is pointing almost directly to the bell, getting very rich of low freqs sound. I think it will be best to combine it with wireless solution. 5
