A: Hi,The Elinchrom mount is very sturdy and robust! The issue some users encounter is mounting it on a C-Stand type spigot. Different manufacturers of C-Stands, booms and other types of spigots have different depths between the top of the mount and the part where it recesses and then the bottom of the mount. The Elinchrom receiver is designed to ANSI standards for a 5/8 /16mm spigot. However, if the country you are visiting uses 220-240V voltage, you would need to purchase either the Sylvania / Osram Lamp (300W/230V), B&H # SY300W230V, or the Kaiser Halogen Lamp 300W 230V 3200K, B&H # KAHALGLAMP, for use as the modeling lamp, as the included modeling lamp is designed for use on 100-120V current and would not be compatible for use in Europe.
