Combining their proprietary High Transmission (HT) optical system with large objectives in their ZEISS 10x54 Victory HT Binoculars Reviewdelivers an optic with outstanding performance, especially in low-light conditions. The HT system enables better than 95% light transmission from the objectives to the user's eyes by employing extra-low dispersion SCHOTT fluoride (FL) glass elements multi-coated with ZEISS' T* coatings to maximize light transmission through the entire optical path. An Abbe-Koenig prism design complements the FL glass and T* coatings, resulting in an image that is exceptionally bright and rich with contrast, clarity, and detail from dawn to dusk. The moderate magnification and large objectives produce a comfortably wide 5.4mm exit pupil that ensures full coverage when the pupils become dilated in low light.

Their magnesium-alloy housing reduces the overall weight without sacrificing strength and durability, and the optical tubes are nitrogen filled and O-ring sealed for water and fogproof performance in all weather conditions. The innovative Dual-Link bridge construction allows the bridge to be very small without sacrificing strength or stability, and the unique elongated prism configuration enables the optical tubes to be thinner than normal. These two features work together to give the binoculars a large and comfortable gripping surface and a wide interpupillary adjustment range. Because of the relatively high magnification, combined with the size of the objectives and the length of the optical tubes, hand holding these binoculars may cause fatigue, so ZEISS made them tripod mountable with an optional adapter for long-duration glassing sessions. Add in the ergonomic non-slip rubber armoring and focus wheel, and the Victory HT becomes a full-featured optic ready for all seasons.

[Center] Optically superb. I have the 8x25, wish the eye cups would come out about another mm (when all the way out), no big deal I automatically position my hands for perfect eye placement. I think Zeiss has done very well here with the firmness of the hinge, on older generations I feel they were weak here. The whole binocular seems very sturdy. Precision all they way around on this binocular. Cons: the binocular has a smell to them, its letting up some after 2 weeks now, hopefully the smell will continue to weaken.

[5.4 mm] Excellent optics, as would be expected. For me, the ultra light weight & very small size ( i.e. extreme portability) are it's best features. Not the greatest light-gatherer in low light conditions, but the small size & weight more than make up for that. A pleasure to hold, & you can keep them at eye level forever without getting tired!

[5.4 mm] These Binoculars are an excellent piece of equipment, especially for the price. They are clear, bright, and exceptionally lightweight. I don't think you can find a better pair of lightweight binoculars anywhere. We purchased both these and the Zeiss 8x25 Terra ED Compact Binoculars. Both are wonderful, but the Victory Pocket Binoculars are a bit better.

[Roof] These are lightweight binnoculars with great optics. The binnocular strap end was frayed when received binoculars but the strap is still functional.

[Roof] Lightweight, very nice optics, good ergonomics on the focus wheel. I like the single hinge - easy to rapidly adjust to my eyes. The only thing lacking IMO is the case that comes with these - too awkward to use. (A large, wide Lenscoat lens pouch works as a nice alternative.)

[-3 to +3] I wanted a great binoculars but also wanted to limit weight since I carry a heavy camera while hiking and birding. In comparing this latest 8x32 with the older Zeiss 8x42 and the Swarovsky 8x32 I couldn't see a difference when looking in deep shadows, and actually preferred the Zeiss to the Swarovsky.

[Roof] Bought these to be lightweight enough for when I go backpacking. I use them almost all the time at home too. Super lightweight, very crisp image, impressive amount of light given size, and very comfortable to grip

[54 mm] One of the features I like about these binos is the locking mechanism of the eyepieces. Locks in place when they are deployed and locks when retracted. Image radiant and consistent w my Zeiss 10x32 Victory FL and Leica 8x42 Ultras. Returning from Amazon River Basin in 2018 expedition I grew to appreciate compact and pocket binos. My highest priority now is to find appropriate caps and a proper strap that won't break as I jump in/out of skiffs on the Amazon. Or, just carry them in my Lowepro Dashpoint 20 camera pouch on my tactical belt. It will be fun.
