The 16x16 SD/HD/3G-SDI Matrix Switch with Status Panelaccepts multiple SD, HD, and 3G-SDI (video with SDI embedded audio) inputs across 16 ports and switches a source across 16 output ports. Supporting data transfer rates from 19 Mbps to 3 Gbps, the switcher transmits SD signals up to 1312 ft (400m).

The aviation ready switcher comes with a Mil spec power connector for aircraft DC power interfaces, 18-50 VDC isolated internal power supply (28 VDC nominal), secured Locktite screws and chassis components for anti-vibration characteristics and airworthiness, and 24-hour burn-in. This aviation ready switcher is built to be conformant with certain application requirements that were originally set down by the Sierra Nevada Corporation.

The 16 x 16 SD, HD, 3G-SDI Video Routing Switcher features auto detection of standard SMPTE data rates, which are re-clocked across each output for jitter-free operation, and non-standard SDI rates are bypassed (20 Mbps to 3 Gbps). Control options consists of text based protocol (MASCOT) over TCP/IP port, RS-232 serial, or web page interface. The switcher is compatible with optional Matrix Switch Corporation TCP/IP remote panels.

A: The camera Marshall Electronics CV346 would work well in low light or in IR setups. Here are some of the cameras settings for Night mode. MODE: Set camera to either color mode or B&W mode. (Day, Night) DAY: When set to DAY mode, camera stays in color and IR cut filter is engaged. NIGHT: When set to NIGHT mode, camera stays in B&W and IR cut filter is removed. NIGHT COLOR: When on, camera stays on color mode. Night (B&W) can be selected from this mode. (On, Off)

A: The monitors are very similar to one another. The P7 comes in at a slightly higher weight than the FW279, but overall the differences are negligible.

A: 2200 peak brightness. Yes it can flip both vertically and horizontally.

A: We're afraid not. The output is listed as a loop-through which will output only the signal you input to it.

Q: 10. Will this EVF work with the C70 when recording 4K DCI? and if so, at what frame rates

A: This EVF only accepts a 1080p signal at up to 60fps. However you will be able to set most cameras, including the C70, to output HD only even while filming in 4K. You should still be able to use this EVF with the C70.

[9600 baud 8N1] If you have the occasion to need to convert SDI or SDI-HD to VGA then buy this unit. It does what it's suppose to do and it does it extraordinarily well. This is pure video excellence. I realize this is now more of an odd piece but when the need arises choose a DAC-60. 5

[<0.2 UI] Had to send HD-sdi to some older displays in our balcony that are fed from 5-bnc. Had to cycle through the resolutions to find the best one, but it works great, and we were able to take out an old scaler that was messing with the image!! 5
