The VocoPro SilentPA-SEMINAR10 is a wireless audio system with a tabletop transmitter and 10 bodypack receivers equipped with 3.5mm headphone jacks. The system allows up to 16 transmitters to broadcast, each on a unique frequency, to an unlimited number of receivers, at a range of up to 150'. Listeners with receivers can then plug in headphones (available separately) and tune into the program they wish to hear. The system is well suited to a wide variety of applications including guided tours and educational situations, houses of worship broadcasting in different languages, multiple presenters or performers working simultaneously in the same venue, and more.

The transmitter features two XLR-1/4" combo inputs that accept both mic- and line-level signals along with a third for mic inputs only. A switch on the back engages 48V phantom power on the combo inputs supplying power for condenser microphones. A 3.5mm mic input is on the front of the unit. Also on board is a 3.5mm stereo line input, great for connecting mobile devices and portable music players. This versatile combination of inputs lets you broadcast up to three microphones and music at the same time, while the mix knob gives you control over the balance between the mic and line inputs.

Each bodypack receiver features a belt clip and two 3.5mm stereo output jacks, allowing listeners to monitor the program and even record to a separate device at the same time. Two AA batteries power the receivers for approximately 4 hours, while the USB port lets you simultaneously use and charge rechargeable batteries (not included) installed in the receiver; just connect the included USB cables to power adapters or power banks (adapters and banks available separately).

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Greetings all. Will this unit play music from or record to thumb drives faster than 1.0/1.1? There is a compatibility note on this site informing that it is not compatible with usb 2.0. How current is that note, and has this (compatibility) been anyone's experience? I am desirous of purchasing one but the incompatibility is a concerrn. Thanks much. Meredith

A: Unfortunately it will not. VocoPro is a standalone unit that offers real-time, high-quality digital audio recording and dual-side playback. The note is current as you will find the same stated on our website on the product page. The recorder does not support USB 2.0.

Q: 2. Is there any warranty on this system?

A: VocoPro includes a Limited 1-Year USA Warranty.

Q: 3. What frequencies specifically? And, What is the Sensitivity of the mics in dBs?

A: The manufacturer has not provided these specs for the VocoPro ACAPELLA-16. The listed frequency band is the 900 MHz band, but individual frequencies or microphone sensitivity is not provided.

Q: 4. what is the range of the microphone and the receiver (i.e. in metres)?

A: Depending on the environment, the system can operate within a distance of up to 100 feet (30.5 meters) line of sight.

Q: 5. Is there way to record to a computer with this? Or connect to a computer so that the computer can access the recorded files?

A: NO

Q: 6. Considering this unit strictly for playback purposes. Since each side is separate, can I use it like a dual cd player ? Does it read id3 tags? Does it show the track number?

A: The VocoPro SDR-4000 features fully independent in/output connections for each deck in addition to a stereo RCA mixed output. The LCD is only capable of displaying numeric characters. Folder names and song titles are not able to be displayed.

Q: 7. What is the Antenna Connection?

A: The antennas have BNC connectors.

Q: 8. If i buy 2 sets of these to run on a 32 channel mixer for a school play.. Can all 32 run on all different channels?

A: If you use two of these VocoPro Digital-Play-16 systems, for a total of 32 wireless mics, in the same location, they will interfere with one another. For a school play, I would highly recommend using wireless for no more than 8 or 12 lead actors, and micing up the rest of the cast using hanging choir mics or boundary mics placed strategically on the stage. A combination of wired and wireless mics will allow for reliable operation and good quality sound, while keeping the total cost of the system more manageable.

Q: 9. does this work for recording audio from a headset mic?

A: My headset mikes go to a receiver, then to a mixer console and then to the recorder. My wireless receivers have a volume control, RCA output and a balanced XLR output. The recorder has RCA and XLR inputs. My guess is that a direct hook up to the recorder would work.

Q: 10. G'day, I plan to use this to record sermons in a church, what microphone should I use and does it need to be phantom powered? At the moment I am using a Audio Technica AT 857Ma mic with the power module AT8531.When I plug the mic cable into the SDR-4000 the recording is very faint, should the mic be going into something else first?

A: According to the manual, the inputs are 10k ohm. That's pretty much line level rather than mic. level . That would explain why running a mic straight in gives a low volume. You'll have much better luck feeding the RCA inputs from the mic mixer's output.

[Removeable] These mics sound great, dynamic and professional. We use for out praise and worship singers. They sound great and full. Hooked up to the Mackie v3 pro22. Highly recommended for a nice price compared to the Shure which is much more expensive and not sold in bundles only separate.

[150' / 45.7 m] quiet and works well, only exception is that the battery runs out fast---4-5 hours

[9.6 lb] Perhaps previous reviewer had a particular problem. These are outstanding. Built very well with high quality casing and antennae on transmitter and receiver. Plenty loud enough. The head phones that come with have a decent response range and are full sounding. They are not isolating IEM phones though. So you will want to get a higher end pair if you are wanting isolation.

I clocked these @ 120 ft non-line-of-sight (obstructions) range with a little hiccup. To be honest I don't know when you would need that kind of distance. So hiccup at that range to me is irrelevant. Rock solid @ 75 ft and under range.

These are worth the money. Full charge on receiver will last an easy 4 hour set with no degradation of sound, volume,or quality at lower battery levels. Band mates also using them.

[9.6 lb] There weren't a lot of reviews available for this, but we decided to take a chance on it anyway since the cost is not that high. It was quite easy to set up and we had them patched into our digital mixer and running right away. Set it to mono initially and so far good feedback from our singers on the clarity of the set. The limiter was definitely kicking in at the loudest points and there would be a second when the sound cuts out at that point but not long enough to throw anyone off. Tested the signal strength initially at about 20m away and it was cutting out at times. Ended up putting the base station 5m from the stage and no issues that that range. Didn't use any of the bundled ears as they were quite basic and didn't sound good. Most got their own ears and were quite happy with the results so far. Good value buy.

[9.6 lb] Perhaps previous reviewer had unique problem. These are excellent for the money. I clocked over 120 feet non-line-of sight. Best in range of 50 to 75 feet to avoid blips. In ear headphones are decent and have good range but do not have isolation. They are plenty loud enough in live band situation. Receiver and transmitter are built with metal and are very well made. Antennae for receiver is excellent. Highly recommend, and already did to band mates. Go get these they're worth the money

[150' / 45.7 m] I recently purchased this system for our praise team at church. I have only had it a few weeks but it is working great so far. The Praise Team loves the freedom of movement without cords and the color to distinguish the different mics. It is a great buy for the price. Thank you!
